Social Media Challenge | What is fatigue and how it works? š
This week I brought a Ranked battle, where one of the ruleset and one of the monster will create a huge error in the gameplay, because this battle will be veryyyy long and I would be curious to see who will prevail? š

Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Deflection Field | All units have the Deflect ability. |
Equalizer | The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health. |
The mana cap was 31, which is not much at all and I do not really like these kind of battles, but right now I have an amazing ruleset to make my nerves a bit ease and that is the Equalizer, which means that all of the monsters on the battlefield will have their Health increased to match the highest one on the battlefield.
So basically all of the mosnters will have the same Health, so it was worth to use cheaper low Health mosnters as well. š
The Deflection Field ruleset will give the Deflect ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, so all the monsters will be immune to any indirect damage like Blast, Thorns, Return Fire** and Magic Reflect, etc. š
Thaddius Brood

Thaddius Brood is versatile and quite cheap with his four mana and that is why he is one of my favorite Death Summoner. He will decrease the Magic damage and the Health of all the enemy monsters by one as his ability. š
Harklaw

I picked the Harklaw who is my favorite tank in the game, because he has amazing abilities. The first and most important is his Shield ability, so he will halves all the incoming Melee and Ranged attacks and that is why he is my main tank. The second is his Immunity ability, so no one can affect him with any magic debuffs and the third is the Demoralize, so he will decrease the Melee attack of all the enemy monsters by one. š
Life Sapper

The Life Sapper is a very interesting Death monster, because he has a very good and only ability, which I always love to use. He has the Life Leech ability, so whenever he manages to damage his target he will steal at least one Health from his target. He doesn't have too much damage, but with the help of this ability he will be longer on the ground and able to do more damage. š
Arachne Weaver

The Arachne Weaver is a very interesting monster, because he can not heal himself, but he can heal others with his Corrupted Healing ability! Generally there is no healer in the Death Splinter, but Arachne is able to Heal 70% of his friendly and damaged monsters in the same round, but at the cost that they will lose one maximum Health. He also has +2 Magic damage, which makes him a very good damage dealer as well. š
Dark Arborist

I used the Dark Arborist solely because her Demoralize ability, which will decrease the Melee attack of all the enemy monsters by one as long as she is alive. She also has one Magic damage, so apart from her de-buff she is able to deal one Magic attack damage, which will ignore the enemy Armor. š¤
Venari Bonesmith

The Venari Bonsemith is like the twin brother of my Life Sapper having the same ability and stats. I put him further in my backline, so he will be more time to soak up some Health from his targets using his Life Leech ability. š
Crypt Beetle

The Crypt Beetle is the perfect budget tank in any battle, because he cost only three mana and also the Shield ability, which will halves all the incoming Melee and Ranged attacks targeting him. I have used him in the back of my backline, because I wanted to make sure that my team is well protected against any enemy Sneak attack mosnters. š

My opponent brought Octavia Shadowmeld who is a Death Summoner, because one of her ability is to reduce the Health of all of her enemy monsters and the other is to be able to bring one additional Gladiator monster in her battle. š
Let's start this battle explaining one key ability, which rules this battle completely and that is the Corrupted Healing on our Arachne Weaver's. This ability is very very powerful, because it will allow the Weaver to restore 70% of maximum Health (rounded down) to other allied monsters, but each time he does that he will also decrease their maximum Health by one, so he can not continue this forever. š
That is why my team had to wait until the end of the third round to be able to kill their first monster who was their Death Ranged as their tank.
Sadly in the fifth round my Harklaw lost so many maximum Health that my Weaver couldn't do anything to save him and I also lost my tank as well. š
Right after that my team killed their Venari Marksrat who activeated his Martyr ability and increased all of the stats of his adjacent Gladiator monster the Witch of Warwick making her even more stronger.
Things got VERY interested from here, because their Warwick and my Life Sapper fell into the front position and both of them had the Life Leech ability, so whenever they lost a maximum Health from the Heal of their Weavers they also increased their maximum Health using their Life Leech ability, so none of them was able to kill the other. šµ
Luckily the creators thought of everything, so we had to wait until the twentieth round and reach to the point where the fatigue arrived.
The fatigue means that from now one at the end of every round all the monsters on the battlefield will take the same damage starting by one, which will be increased in every round, so eventually monsters are starting to dieee... š
Both of us lost a monster against the fatigue in the twenty-fourth round and by the end of the last round all of the monsters died against it except my Venari Bonesmith who was clever enough to prepare himself for this an accumulated a huge amount of Health to outsurvive everyone, which allowed me to win this battle. Huge thanks for him to do that! š¤
