Social Media Challenge | The reason why I picked a two mana monster in a high mana cap battle! πŸ˜‰

image.png

This week I brought a Wild Ranked battle, which was a high mana cap battle, but the rulesets were quite deadly, so it will be important what kind of strategy to use. In the Noxious Fumes where all the monsters will be damaged in every round the last man surviving will win the whole battle. πŸ˜‡

RulesetDescription
Equal OpportunityAll Monsters have the Opportunity ability.
Noxious FumesAll Monsters start the battle Poisoned
Broken ArrowsYou can not summon units with Ranged attacks.

The mana cap was 83, which is more than enough for my needs, because I will be able to use any monsters and any strategy that I want. This is extremely important in a battle where the rulesets are very important like this one. 😊

The Equal Opportunity ruleset is one of my favorite one, because what it means is that all the monsters on the battlefield (except the tank and the second monster with the Reach ability) will target the lowest Health monster from the enemy team. πŸ˜‰

The Noxious Fumes ruleset is a very difficult one, because every end of the round all the monsters whom are Poisoned (thanks to this ruleset all of them will be Poisoned) will take two damage directly from their Health. The only option to ignore this is to Cleanse it or being Immune against the status effects. 😏

The Broken Arrows ruleset will eliminate the use of any kind of Ranged attack monsters (unless they have a different attack as well) completely, so only Melee and Magic attack monsters will be available. πŸ€—

My lineup and the decision behind it!

Summoner
Franz Ruffmane

image.png

My plan was to use Franz Ruffmane as my Summoner, becasuse he gives +1 Armor to his monsters therefore they will be able to block one incoming Melee or Ranged attack and he is also able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which is always a nice addition to any team. 😊

Main Tank

Drybone Barbarian
image.png

The Drybone Barbarian is an excellent tank and even thought he doesn't have any kind of defensive abilities instead he has a lot of offensive ones. He has high Melee attack damage and Speed, which is always amazing. On top of that he has the Retaliate ability as well, which means that if an enemy Melee attacker hits him he will have 50% chance to get a free attack against that monster. His Enrage ability is also good, because if he is going to get damaged he will have his stats increased by 50%. 😁

The First Weapon Trainee
Warrior of Peace
image.png

The Warrior of Peace is a monster with no attack at all on its own, but my Aves Sturgis behind him is there to use his Weapons Trainer ability to provide him +2 Magic attack. He has quite a lot of Health, which is amazing against the Poison damage and on top of that he has the Demoralize ability as well, which means that he will reduce the Melee attack of all the enemy monsters by one. πŸ˜†

The Weapon Trainer
Aves Sturgis
image.png

Aves Sturgis is a very special monster, because stats wise he is quite weak, but he has the Weapons Training ability, which means that he is able to give his own attack (maximum of three) to the monsters next to him, but only if they do not have any attack on their own. He also has the Divine Shield ability as well, so he will be able to block at least one full attack, which will target him. Luckily even if he dies his attack that he gave to his adjacent monsters will stay on them until the battle will finish. 😊

The Second Weapon Trainee

Helmet Kharafax
image.png

Helmet Kharafax will be my second monster who doesn't have any attack and being next to my Weapons Trainer he would also benefit with the +2 Magic attack increase. This makes him incredible strong and while he is a Gladiator monster he is able to activate his Bloodlust ability to increase all of his stats by one whenever he acquires a kill.

He also has the Void ability to protect himself against the enemy Magic attacks and the Scavenger ability is perfect against the steady Poison damage, because the Scavenger ability will increase his Health by one every time a monster (even a friendly one) dies he will increase his Health by one. 😎

The Decoy

Iziar
image.png

Iziar cost quite a lot of mana, but he has one very important role in this battle, which is her Taunt ability, because whenever a monster from the enemy team attacks they have to attack my Iziar, which will help a lot for the rest of my team members to survive long enough to deal their damage. She also has +2 Magic attack on her own with a lot of Health plus the Void ability, which will make her quite resilient against the enemy Magic attacks. 😌

Supporter

Djinn Renova
image.png

I used the Djinn Renova to take advantage of her Triage ability, which means that she will restore some Health to one the monster in my lineup, which usually will be my Iziar. Using her will extend the life of Iziar, so hopefully that will be enough to protect her for few rounds. She will also use her Fortify ability to increase the Health of all of her friendly monsters by one as well. πŸ€—

My opponent brought Helios Matriarch who is a Dragon Summoner and her power is to give +1 Speed to all of her monsters and on top of that just like mine she is able to use of additional Gladiator monster in this battle if she wishes to do that. πŸ˜…

In the first round my opponent started to attack my Iziar just as I wanted, but I didn't expect so much damage output from them and sadly Iziar quickly died from the first enemy attacks.

Right after that my team took a revenge on their Noa the Just who had a lot of Armor, but luckily my Magic attackers easily ignored that and kill him as well. 😊

In the second round I have lost my Aves Sturgis, but his ability was still working on his neighbourghs, which was nice, but sadly soon after he died I also lost my Djinn Renova against the enemy heavy attacks.

Things weren't looking good right now, but at least my Kharafax killed their Relenor Cleaver who was also a Gladiator monster and allowed to increase all of his stats by one. 😁

The third round didn't start good either, because I lost my Warrior of Peace and only two of my monster left on the battlefield.

Kharafax also managed to kill another monster from the enemy team and my Barbarian finally killed their tank as well.

The battle was head to head, two against two and before the third round has ended I lost my Barbarian as well. πŸ˜’

image.png

At this point starting the fourth round it was two enemy monster against my only one, but the real twist was that if you look the Health of my Kharafax closley you will see that all along the battle he was using his Scavenger and Bloodlust ability to increase his own Health so high, so in the fourth round he was able to soak the enemy damage entirely and even the Poison damage as well, which killed the last enemy monster. πŸ˜‡

My strategy worked perfectly and that is how a two mana cost monster will win a whole high mana cap battle! 😊
