Social Media Challenge | Which Gladius monster is better, Jini or Trapp? 🤗

Overview

Today I brought a Brawl battle, where I will try to beat my opponent in a Guild battle, where I got one of my hated ruleset in the whole game. 😋

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
High FiveYou can summon a maximum of five units.
Spreading FuryAll Monsters have the Enrage ability.
Little LeagueOnly Monsters & Summoners that cost 4 Mana or less may be used in battles.

The mana cap for my next battle is 38, which is not much, but I do not need it at all, because the Little League ruleset will only allows monsters with a maximum of four mana cost, so the maximum mana cap that I would need is only 28. 😎

Usually the Spreading Fury ruleset is a very good one, because it will give the Enrage ability to all the monsters on the battlefield, which means that they will get 50% increase on their melee damage and speed as long as they are damaged. The only problem is that the monsters with four or less mana cost usually has very little health, so they can not really be damaged for long.

The High Five ruleset is nothing special, because it only means that only five monster slot will be available in this battle. 😌

My lineup

The Obsidian from the Earth Splinter is pretty powerful, especially in the Little League ruleset, because she will increase the magic damage of all of her friendly monsters, which is insane. 😁
The Halfling Refugee is an excellent monster stats wise compared to his mana cost, which is one, but he has the Weary ability. This ability is like a curse, because from round one he would have 10% chance added together round by round and if it triggers it will skip his turn completely. Still as a tank I can use him quite nicely thanks to his big stats! 😉

The Xenith Monk is my second tank in this battle, because he cost four mana and has quite a 'lot' health to be able to sustain the enemy damage. 😊
I used the Venari Marksrat solely, because of his only one ability, which is the Martyr, which means if he dies he will increase the stats of his adjacent monsters by one. This would allow my Gladiator monster after him to level up. 🤗

The Jini Guise is my one and only Gladiator monster and I used her, because she has the Protect ability, which will provide +2 armor to all of her friendly monsters. On top of that she is a magic attack monster, so she is able to take advantage from the +1 magic damage buff and her Bloodlust ability will increase all of her stats by one if she manages to kill her target. 😇
The Wood Nymph is an excellent magic attack monster, because she has the Tank Heal ability for four mana, so she will be able to Heal the monsters in the first position in every round. On top of that she will receive the +1 magic attack buff from the Obsidian making her a dangerous damage dealer as well. 😌

My opponent brought Dolfar Darflak, who is a very special Summoner, because he commands to two different Splinters as well, so he will be able to use the Death and Fire monsters simultaneously. 😏

In the first round almost all of the enemy monsters were quicker than mines, so they attacked first, but my team managed to kill their super strong tank using their magic damage. At the end of the first round my tank was heavily damaged, so the Heal was pretty good from our Wood Nymph.

The second round started really good, because my tank killed their Revealer, but soon after I also lost my tank against the enemy magic attacks.

Just before the second round finished my Wood Nymph was able to kill their Venari Bonesmith, because the Obsidian gave her +1 magic attack, so the Nymph had +2 already, which was enough to kill her target.

In the third round their Moxian Rebel fell into the first position and he had only one health, which was an easy kill for my team. Their Clockwork Aide had a similar fate, because even though he had a lot of armor his one health was nothing against my magic attack monsters. 🤗

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to bring one or two solid tank and use a lot of low mana cost magic attack monsters. It didn't matter even if they had only one magic attack on their own, because using the Obsidian as my Summoner her +1 magic damage buff was absolutely powerful and it is very difficult to get protection against it in this level. 💪

If you would like to use some of my dividers I have created for your blog feel free to use them following this link. 😉
