Overview

Today I brought a Wild battle, where I got a battle with an easy and also difficult ruleset, because none of the monsters will have any abilities apart from the ones from their Summoners. 😊

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
Back to BasicsMonsters lose all abilities.
Are You Not EntertainedYou can summon one additional Gladiator monster.
Target PracticeAll Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.

The mana cap for my next battle is 56, which is quite a lot, so I would be able to use any monster that I like and using the Back to Basics ruleset it is important to pick monsters with high raw stats to rely for their survival. πŸ˜‡

The Are You Not Entertained ruleset is one of my favorite, but in this battle it only means that me and my opponent is able to pick one Gladiator monster for this battle, but they would have no abilities.

The Target Practice ruleset will make a huge twist in this battle, because all the ranged and magic attack monsters would have the Snipe ability, so they will target the first ranged, magic or non-attack monster from the opposite lineup. πŸ˜‰

My lineup

I picked Possibilus the Wise for this battle as my Summoner, because he gives a lot of abilities to my monsters. The first is to increase their health by two and he gives the Reach and Trample ability to them as well. This means that if I use a melee attack monster in the second position he or she will be able to attack from there. The Trample is also amazing, because if a melee attack monster manages to kill its target they will get a free attack against the following monster. πŸ˜†
Commander Slade cost a lot of mana, which is ten, but he is well worth its price even without his excellent abilities, because he has ten health and five armor, which is excellent to make him as my main tank in the Back to the Basics ruleset. 😎

The Kulu Mastermind works perfectly in any team if you put a non-attack monsters next to him to take advantage of his Weapons Trainer ability, but this time I just used his pure flesh to deal damage and soak as much as dmage possible with his ten health. 😁
Usually the Wave Brood has the Taunt ability, which means that he will be able to soak up all the enemy attacks before he dies, but in this case without this ability I had to pick him, because he ahs quite a lot of health to sustain a lot of damage. πŸ€—

The Djinn Oshannus is also an excellent monster and even in this ruleset as well, because without any abilities he has +2 magic attack damage and more than ten health, which is good to soak up some damage. 😊
Nerissa Tridawn is just too perfect in this battle, because she doesn't have any ability anyway, but in return she has quite a lot of damage and health. πŸ˜‹

The Shock Trooper is cheap costing only four mana, but he is a super strong damage dealer, because he has +4 magic attack damage and not too much health. His mana cost is cheap, because in a normal fight he has a cursed ability, which will damage himself and all of his friendly monsters by one. πŸ€“

My opponent brought Immortalis, who is an Earth Summoner and he is quite pricey, because he cost 6 mana. In exchange he will decrease the health of all the enemy monsters by one and provides the Void and Shatter ability to his friendly monsters. πŸ˜†

In the first round all of the enemy monsters started to attack my Wave Brood, because even thoug hhe doesn't have the Taunt ability all of my enemy ranged and magic attack monsters will target him, because of their Snipe ability. Sadly my monsters couldn't kill any monsters and on top of that I have lost my Djinn Oshannus in the second round.

Soon after my team at least killed their Unicorn Mustang and they managed to damage down two of their monsters. 😊

In the third round they have killed my Nerissa and it was a huge luck that my Slade had the Trample ability from my Possibilus, because as soon as he killed their Quora he got a free attack for the next monster behind her and also killed it.

In the fourth round I have lost another two monster and only my Kulu left against three of their monsters, but luckily the Trample on him worked as a charm and killed two of their monsters in a row and the only one monster left in the enemy team was a ranged attack one, so he couldn't attack from the first position even though my Kulu had very little health left. πŸ€—

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to bring as much as high health monsters that I can, because in the Back to Basics ruleset the only things matter is the health, damage and the speed in order to kill an enemy monster. 😎

Interesting line up, especially with that shock tropper. I do not like him in big mana battle, but it seems you have nailed it.
