Social Media Challenge | Gladiators are ready to fight! π€
Overview
Today I brought a Wild battle, where I will try to use a Gladiator monster and take advantage of her Bloodlust and Sneak ability. π
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Counterspell | All Monsters have the Magic Reflect ability. |
Aimless | All Monsters with the ranged and magic ability will have the Scattershot ability. |
The mana cap for my next battle is 49, which is quite good, because I was able to build a strategy, which usually works for me. The Counterspell ability helped a lot for me, because I do not need to worry about magic attack monster, because they will damage themselves down with each of their attack. π
The Aimless ruleset only works on the ranged and magic attack monsters, so I do not really pay attention to it, because I will try to use Katrelba to try to take down my opponent monsters and she is a melee attacker. π
My lineup
![]() | Lobb Lowland is an amazing Summoner, because he has the ability to bring an additional Gladiator monster into the battle and also be able to decrease the speed of his enemy monsters. This feature of him will allows me to use a powerful Gladiator monster, who might be able to turn the tide for me. π |
Arkemis the Bear is an amazing tank, because he has a lot of health and quite good melee attack damage, but more importantly he has the Protect ability, which will give +2 armor to all of his friendly mosnters as long as he is alive. π | ![]() |
![]() | The Fungus Flinger is an excellent monster, because he has the Martyr ability, which means that he will increase the stats of the monsters next to him in case he dies. He also has the Blind ability, so all the enemy melee and ranged attacks have an increased chance of missing their target as long as he is alive. π |
Katrelba Gobson will be my key monster in this battle, because she has the Sneak ability, so she will attack the last monster from the enemy team and she will do that vigorously with her Double Strike ability attacking twice in each round. She also has the Bloodlust ability, so if she manages to kill her target she will increase all of her stats by one. π | ![]() |
![]() | The Clockwork Aide doesn't have any attack on its own, so he relies solely on my Ava the Undaunted to get a nice amount of Ranged attack. He has only one Health, but a lot of armor, so he is a perfect monster to sustain some damage. He also has the Rust ability to remove the enemy armors by two and also the Swiftness ability, which will increase the speed of all of his friendly monsters by one. π |
Ava the Undaunted is a very special monster, because she has the Weapons Training ability, which means that she will give her own attack to her adjacent monsters. She has +3 ranged attack, which is quite good. π€ | ![]() |
![]() | Thane Newsong is a non-attack monster as well, which is good, because he will get some nice amount of damage from Ava. He has quite a lot of health and the ability to increase the melee attack damage on my monsters by one using his Inspire ability. He also has the Strengthen ability, which will provide an extra health as well to everyone in his team as long as he is alive. π |
The Battle

My opponent brought Helios Matriarch from the Dragon Splinter, because she is able to bring one additional Gladiator monster as well just like me. She also gives +1 speed* to all of her friendly monsters. π
In the first round my team especially my Katrelba was able to kill their Swamp Spitter at the end of their backline and she also managed to trigger her Bloodlust ability, which increased all of her stats by one. Just before the round finished my Arkemis killed their Venari Marksrat in their first position, which was intentional by my opponent to activate his Martyr ability on their Coastal Sentry.
In the second my Arkemis was lucky to dodge one attack from the enemy Coastal Sentry and right after my Katrelba shined again by killing their Gladiator Isgald.
The third round started bad, because their new tank killed my Arkemis with her huge damage, but at least my Katrelba killed their Kulu and increased her own stats even further.
Their Sentry was not really a tank, but a damage dealer, so my team killed her quite easily just before the third round finished and only one monster left in their team, which was an easy job for the rest of my team. π

Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to utilise the Bloodlust and Sneak ability on my Katrelba, which was key in order to win this battle. Luckily it worked perfectly, because every round she was able to kill her target. π

Thank you so much π that you took the time to read my Social Media Challenge. I hope it was informative and you liked it. π€
What an amazing lineup, especially using that Ava the Undaunted with 2 attack less cards adjacent to it gave you so much firepower! Not to underestimate the Gobson, which is one of my favorite cards too!
Totally agree about Katrelba! She has so much to offer and different tactics to take advantage over your enemy! I use Ava and the Kulu Mastermind frequently with this kind of combination, because they share their attack damage, which is absolutley insane!
Thank you so much for your comment and I really appreciate your words! π
Indeed, she is totally overpowered and like you did in the battle, coupling her with other attackers will leave no space for enemy cards. π
