Social Media Challenge | Luck is a very important battle ruleset!π
Overview
Today I brought a Ranked battle, where I will use an amazing combination of monsters to help each other out. There are few abilities in the game, which is able to single handedly control the battlefield and I will try to take advantage of them over my opponent. π
My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

Ruleset | Description |
---|---|
Standard | No change to standard gameplay rules and mechanics. |
The mana cap for my next battle was 57, which is more than enough for my needs and I always love to play in such battles, because I can use any monsters available for the battle. π
Their will be only three Splinters available to choose from, so the best would be for us if we would pick different ones to avoid the chance for a mirror match.
The other important factor for this battle is that there would be no rulesets at all, so only the ability of the monsters and the strategy behind it will decide who will prevail over each other. π
My lineup
![]() | My plan was to use Franz Ruffmane as my Summoner, becasuse he gives +1 armor to his monsters therefore they will be able to block one incoming melee or ranged attack. He is also one of the highest levelled Summoner that I have, which made my choice picking him more easier. He is also able to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which is always a nice addition to any team to take advantage over you opponent. π |
The Drybone Barbarian is an excellent tank and even thought he doesn't have any kind of defensive abilities instead he has a lot of offensive ones. He has high melee attack damage and speed, which is always amazing. On top of that he has the Retaliate ability as well, which means that if an enemy melee attacker hits him he will have 50% chance to get a free attack against that monster. His Enrage ability is also good, because if he is going to get damaged he will have his stats increased by 50%. π | ![]() |
![]() | Marisol Contuma is a very important monster in my lineup, because apart from his stats, which is pretty strong already she is a Gladiator monster and such she has the Bloodlust ability, which means that he is able to increase his own stats by one permanently whenever she kills her target, which is super strong. π€ |
The Djinn Renova is an excellent Magic attack damage dealer, because she has +3 attack damage and the Fortify ability, which will increase the health of all of her friendly monsters by one. She also has the Triage ability, which is amazing, because she will be able to Heal one of her backline monster who took the most damage once in every round. π | ![]() |
![]() | I used the Clockwork Aide in my team to take advantage of his Swiftness ability, which will increase the speed of my monsters by one and on top of that he also has the Rust ability as well, which will reduce the armor of the enemy monsters by two. On its own the Aide doesn't have any attack, but hopefully this two ability will be enough to get some advantage over my opponent monsters. π |
The Venari Crystalsmith is one of my favorite Life monster, because she cost only four mana and has +2 ranged attack damage, which is pretty good. Her most important feature is her Tank Heal ability, which means that she will be able to Heal the monster in the first position. π | ![]() |
![]() | Iziar will be a center piece of my lineup even though she is at the back of my backlien. I used her, because apart from her two magic attack damage she has the Taunt ability, so she will be able to divert all the enemy ranged and magic attacks, which is phenomenal. π |
The Battle

My opponent brought the Kelya who is an Water Summoner and his main power is to give +1 speed and armor to all of his monsters, so they will be able to block one full melee or ranged attack, which is nice. π
My opponent built a pretty interesting combination with their tank and Coastal Sentry, because normally the sentry can not attack from the second position, but with the help of their tank she was doing it with her Double Strike ability. Luckily I used the Drybone Barbarian as my tank and he has an amazing ability, which is the Retaliate. That means if an enemy melee attacker attacks him he will have 50% chance to get a free attack back to his attacker. Luckily he managed to trigger this ability twice and with his Enrage ability he killed their Sentry easily, which was shocking.
The Barbarian used his normal attack against their tank and heavily damaged him down and right after his attack my Iziar killed him as well. πͺ
This was a pretty good start and my team had a huge advantage already. All of the enemy monsters attacked my Iziar thanks to her Taunt ability and her Void ability also mitigated loads of incoming Magic damage.
In the second round Marisol and my Barbarian killed their Oshannus easily, because they were quick as him, so it was no chance for him to evade any of our attacks.
The third round was similar than the second, but this time Marisol single handedly killed their damaged Nerissa and my Barbarian killed another magic attack monster.
Only their Swamp Spitter left who fell into the first position and as a ranged attack monster he couldn't do anything from there just to die, so my team or shall I say my Drybone Barbarian easily won this battle for me. π€

Battle Result
Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
My strategy was to divert the enemy ranged and magic attacks to my Iziar to provide some time to my Barbarian and Marisol to do as much as damage possible to the enemy frontline. I didn't expect that the luck will be on our side and that my Barbarian will kill their main damage dealer right at the first round.
This was a huge turning point, because an Enraged Barbarian's damage output is enourmous. π
