Overview

Today I brought a Wild Ranked battle, where I got one of my favorite ruleset, which is the unlimited mana cap battle, so whatever monster and strategy I would choose the cost of the monsters wouldn't affect me at all. 😊

My upcoming Battle ruleset(s)

RulesetDescription
Reverse SpeedMonsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.
Odd Ones OutOnly Monsters with odd Mana costs may be used in battles.

The mana cap for my next battle was only 99, which amazing and it is the easiest to build any ind of lineup unless other rulesets are not going to limit the available monster pool. Sadly I got the Odd Ones Out ruleset, which means that only the odd mana cost monsters are available, so basically I can use only half of the monster pool, but still there are a lot of expensive one there. 😇

The Reverse Speed ruleset is a very interesting one, because if you are not paying enough attention to it than your enemy who does can easily defeat you with their speedy monsters, because under these circumstances the slowest monster will become the quickest and they will dodge more than the ones with higher Speed. 😉

My lineup

My plan was to use Franz Ruffmane as my Summoner, because he gives +1 armor to his monsters therefore they will be able to block one incoming melee or ranged attack completely. He is also one of the highest levelled Summoner that I have, which made my choice picking him more easier even though he cost six mana. He is also has the ability to bring one additional Gladiator monster into this battle, which is always a very good addition to any team. 😊
The Imperial Knight is a very good tank within the Life Splinter, because he has quite a lot of health and armor, which will protect him quite well even without any defensive abilities. He also has the Heal ability, which will restore some of his lost health in every round. His only weakness is his low speed, which will be his advantage in this battle. 😌

The Stitch Leech cost only three mana, so he is not the most expensive monster in the whole Splinterlands, but my main reason was to bring him is the fact that he has +3 melee attack damage and the Sneak ability, which is perfect to combine with my Sand Worm. Together they are able to remove any squishy threat from the enemy backline. 😇
The Djinn Renova is an excellent magic attack damage dealer and supporter, because she has +3 attack damage and the Fortify ability, which will increase the health of all of her friendly monsters. She also has the Triage ability, which is amazing, because she will be able to Heal one of her backline monster who took the most damage once in every round. 😁

The Sand Worm is a very powerful melee damage dealer, because he has five attack damage and the Sneak ability will allows him to attack the last monster from the enemy. Usually I do not like to use him, because his speed is only one, but like I said before in this battle he is just too perfect not to use. 😆
Captain Katie is a very important monster in my lineup, because apart from her damage, which is pretty strong already she is also a Gladiator monster and such she has the Bloodlust ability, which means that he is able to increase his own stats by one permanently whenever she kills her target, which is super strong. She also has the Snipe ability, so she will target the first Ranged, Magic, or Non-attack monster from the enemy lineup. 💪

Iziar will be a center piece of my lineup even though she is at the back of my backline. I used her, because apart from her two magic attack damage, which is always nice she has the Taunt ability, so she will be able to divert all the enemy ranged and magic attacks, which is amazing. 😋

My opponent brought the Quix the Devious who is a Dragon Summoner and his main power is to reduce the +1 speed and ranged to all of the enemy monsters. 😒

The enemy team also brought an Iziar, so all of my monsters (except my tank) had to attack her and luckily my team had enough damage to kill her just before the first round finished.

Sadly in the second round my team lost our tank, because their Barbarian was enraged, but at least my team was able to damage him down to one health. 😊

In the third round my team finsihed what they started in the second round and finally killed their tank who had huge amount of damage, but nothing else happened in this round.

The fourth round started good, because my Sand Worm was the 'slowest' and such the 'quickest', so he quickly killed their Djinn Renova at the beginning of this round. Soon after that my 'new' tank killed their 'new' tank, so only one monster left in the enemy team who had quite a lot of health and damage.

Luckily my team still had quite a lot of member and damage, so it was just a matter of time before my team killed their last monster and acquired the win for me. 🤗

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

My strategy was to try to to divert the enemy attacks to my Iziar and more or less that worked out prety well and to take advantage of the +1 armor from my Summoner to block a lot of enemy incoming attacks. My opponent had quite a lot of damage, but most of them was magic attack type, so the Void ability on my Iziar was perfect to mitigate most of that damage. 😊
