My Actifit Report Card: December 06 2025

My last walk was along the stunning coastline of the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. It was a crisp autumn day, perfect for exploring. Starting at the charming village of Lyme Regis, I strolled along the famous Cobb, the iconic harbor wall that has graced many a film and novel.

As I walked, I was surrounded by the beautiful cliffs, which are rich with geological history. The layers of rock tell a story that spans over 185 million years! I was particularly fascinated by the fossil-rich limestone and clay that can be found along the shore, remnants of a time when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.

Along the way, I encountered a group of enthusiastic fossil hunters, all armed with trowels and buckets. They were excitedly discussing their finds—some lovely ammonites, which are quite a common treasure along this stretch of coast. It was heartwarming to see people's faces light up when they discovered a piece of history right at their feet.

As I continued my walk towards Charmouth, I took a moment to sit on a bench and enjoy a warm cup of tea from a quaint little café overlooking the sea. The views were breathtaking, with waves crashing against the rocky shore and a stunning sunset painting the sky. I met a lovely elderly couple there who shared stories of their many walks along the coast over the years, reminiscing about how the landscape has changed and how much they still enjoy each visit.

Walking back, I felt a deep appreciation for the connection between nature and history. Each step along the path was not just a chance to enjoy the scenery but also a journey through time. Overall, it was a wonderful day spent in one of England's most beautiful natural wonders, and I can't wait for my next adventure!
