My Actifit Report Card: November 24 2025

As I set off, I was captivated by the quintessential English architecture – honey-colored limestone cottages with thatched roofs and lovely gardens overflowing with colorful flowers. The sense of history was palpable, as many of these buildings date back to the 16th century.
Along the trail, I encountered a few other walkers, including a lovely couple from London who were also enjoying the scenic views. We exchanged stories about our favorite spots in the Cotswolds, and they recommended visiting the nearby village of Chipping Campden, known for its Market Hall and Arts and Crafts movement heritage.
I also had the joy of spotting a variety of wildlife, including a few deer grazing in a meadow, and numerous birds flitting about. The views from the hills were breathtaking, with rolling fields and patches of ancient woodlands stretching as far as the eye could see.
One of the highlights of the walk was reaching Broadway Tower, a 65-foot tower built in the 18th century. It offered panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and, on a clear day, you could even see as far as Wales! I spent some time there, soaking in the view and imagining what it would have been like for the people who built and used the tower.
As I made my way back, I stopped at a quaint tea shop for a slice of homemade cake and a cup of English breakfast tea. The owner shared some local history about the area, which made for a delightful end to the day.
Overall, it was a wonderful walk filled with beautiful scenery, engaging conversations, and a deep appreciation for the history of the region. The Cotswolds never fail to inspire me!
