Hello everyone and welcome to my update on the MOON game by the Hive Pizza community. I started playing the game on launch and so far it has been fun and a bit addicting. MOON is a space-themed strategy game where players build and manage space empires and engage in multiplayer interactions in the Hive blockchain.

My Strategy

I played similar city building strategy games before and the first things I build are my resources. There are four main resources in the game. Metal, silicone and uranium are used to for buildings and research while energy is used to power up the buildings and ensure that production is optimal.

My Buildings

I levelled up my resource producing buildings first. My ore extractor, silicon refinery and uranium centrifuge is at level 6 while my solar power plant which produces energy is at level 10.

This set-up ensures that I produce resources at 100% efficiency. If I don't have enough energy then resource production will fall below 100%.

The other buildings I built are Robot Factory and Shipyard. Both buildings are needed to build basic ships.

My Research

I researched energy technology since it's a prerequisite for building a Uranium Power Plant. It will produce Uranium and provide energy at the same time. Uranium is much needed resource for research. I also researched Combustion Engine which is needed technology to be able to build cargo ships.

Defense

I have been attacked and had some of my resources looted.

This is why I shored up my defense. Initially, I built two missile launchers. I will research more technology and strengthen my defense.

Alliance

Part of the fun of these games is joining an alliance. Alliance members can help each other by sending resources. In addition, alliance members can combine their fleet for attack or defense. This will enable the alliance to battle against a more powerful enemy. This is called the Alliance Combat System or ACS. Our alliance, the Black Diamond Rebels (BDR) are composed of @forkyishere and me. If you are playing and haven't joined an alliance yet, send a message to be accepted.

My Rank

Currently, there are over 200 players in the game. I'm currently ranked 34th since I didn't hire any officers to speed up my production.

Officers

Officers can be hired to boost some stats in the game such as building and research. Officers can be hired using the resource PIZZABITS. PIZZABITS can be acquired from expeditions or deposits. Players can deposit PIZZA to acquire PIZZABITS at the rate of 1 PIZZA for 10 PIZZABITS.

Final Thoughts

MOON is a game on hive-engine that I play purely for fun and not considering #play2earn. It's similar to other city building game that I played before and just as addicting. Best of all, it's FREE!
