Escaping the City: A Visit to Estancia de Lorenzo
Hello everyone! This weekend we decided to take a break from the busy urban life of Metro Manila. We would often go to Tagaytay or Pampanga but the drive is long and tiring. Thankfully, we found a perfect place for our getaway. Less than an hour's drive from Manila is Estancia de Lorenzo. The place is a resort that offers the comforts of a modern staycation with the peace and quiet of the countryside.
Estancia de Lorenzo’s offers a lot of attractions. There's a small zoo or an animal farm. Children can feed goats, rabbits, and ducks. It's a fun experience for city kids who haven't interacted with farm animals before.
There are swimming pools with a peaceful view of the mountain and gardens to unwind. It's fun to take a dip, relax and breath in the fresh air.
There is an events pavilion and landscaped gardens for weddings and special occasions. It's popular for garden wedding since the place can accommodate lots of guests and there are already restaurants in the place to serve meals.
There is also a mini playground for small children but somehow the adults get tempted to use the swing and seesaw.
The orange villas that can be rented have complete facilities like aircon, hot shower and wifi.
The restaurants and spa parlors deserve special mention. There are several restaurants serving different dishes. Among them serves Japanese and another Filipino food. Every meal will feel satisfying.
Lorenzo's Restaurant serves a hearty breakfast buffet that will fill you up while viewing the mountains of Rizal. It offers a wide variety of dishes. Classic Filipino food of fried rice, eggs and sausages but there are also salads, breads and pastries.
At night, it's nice to take a stroll at the spacious place. You can hear sounds of crickets while you walk in the well lighted roads. The restaurants close early at nine PM though so you have to order early to avoid getting hungry.
No doubt the best part of our trip was the ATV (all train vehicle) ride. The terrain can be frightening at times and there were times when I thought I was going to fall but I just followed where our guide was going and how he managed the terrain and I came out unscathed.
Final Thoughts
What I like most about Estancia de Lorenzo is how it's close to Metro Manila (saves on fuel) but the place is peaceful enough to feel like a real escape. With its complete ameneties, the place is great for a family outing or an office team building. If you're still single, you can bring your special someone for a romantic getaway.
