New cards, new abilities 🌟 Social Media 🌟
New cards are announced for chest rewards in Splinterlands, something that is always exciting and today, August 15th, they come out. With them are new abilities that I will bring to give you a review
A summary of the cards is that there are 12 normal cards, 12 rare cards, 7 epic cards and 12 legendary cards available, which I think is an adequate and exciting amount.
The new abilities that will be added will generate variety and strategies to the game:
Mimic: Grants a 25% chance to copy an ability from an enemy card. It activates in the second round, but I need to see it in action to evaluate it.
Execute: Allows an extra attack and the automatic elimination of an enemy card with two or less health points. I think it is a very useful ability.
Wingbreak: Directs attacks towards cards with the "Flying" ability, which can be very strategic.
Corrupted Healing: Restores 1/3 of the maximum health of allied units, but reduces their maximum health by 1 each time they are healed. It is an ability that I still do not fully understand.
Debilitations
Type abilities have also been introduced, which affect your own cards instead of enemy ones. These cards usually have high stats but a high mana cost:
Incendiary: Grants Burn to the card that carries it and can spread to adjacent cards, causing -2 HP.
Weary: Has a 10% chance to cause "Exhausted" at the end of each round, increasing by 10% per turn up to a maximum of 80%. This ability seems to me to be the worst, so I hope that the cards that have it make up for it with other attributes.
Electrified: Deals -1 damage to all friendly cards at the start of each round.
I'm looking forward to discovering these new cards and abilities in action, and seeing how they will impact the great battle of Splinterlands.
