Stylized female portrait

Hello everyone, it's taking more and more effort to create art these days because of how busy I am with other things in my life, so every opportunity is a cherished one. I'm glad I had one of such today as I created this beautiful portrait of a woman.

What I hope strikes everyone who looks at it the first time is the the color scheme. I don't think I've used this aqua green color before as a background and I like it. It gives off a summer feel, like she should be submerged in water. Hmm, now that's an idea.

Okay, I did this in sketchbook pro app for anyone who might be curious. I get asked this sometimes on hive and even though I expect everyone who has been following my art for a while to know now, I suppose I can't rule out a newcomer and I expect many new comers infact :), so this is for their benefit. I use my phone to draw mostly because the colors are displayed more accurately than on my computer.

Now to the process. I started with a sketch as always and then gradually began to build up the shadows and highlights as you can see in the progress shots below.
