Tough Time Deciding Where to Put My Dollar Cost Average This Week!

Yesterday I had an early doctor appointment and after that went straight to my offline job for a few hours. Then we went to the grocery store after I was done working. Before all of that madness I was able to get my crypto purchase completed.

Decision Time

Between my fiat investment for the week and the Hive that was already in my wallet I had about 13 Hive available to spend.

The CHAOS packs are selling quickly and I wanted to get at least a few more to hold on to before they sell out. I bought them on Hive Engine since they are still below 4 dollars each. So right now I am holding to 4 CHAOS packs
I am not opening any of them. Since I am not playing the game I will just wait to see what happens.

Focused a Bit More on Reaching my Goal of 1500 HE-Index This Week!

Last week I only purchased 2 HE-Index tokens and powered up the rest of the Hive I purchased. This week I bought 10 more HE-Index.

My CTP Power increased by Small Percentages in CTPtalk.com and List Nerds

In CTPtalk.com I staked 166.467 more CTP tokens.

CTP Power today (2/26) 43594.788
Total staked this week: 166.467
% increase from last week: 0.38%

In List Nerds I staked 44.575 more CTP tokens

CTP Power on 2/20: 11,156.694
CTP Power today (2/26): 11,201.269
Total staked this week: 44.575
% increase from last week: 0.399%

The percentage increase was very small. I am only claiming and staking what I earn from reading and voting on emails. I have over 400 votes I can use everyday. I haven't run out yet even though I have been reading and voting on all the emails in my ListNerds inbox.

My Biggest Increase this Week was in ListNerds tokens

When I did my update last week I had one of my emails get verified so I earned 19.532 ListNerds tokens from that. I picked up another 8.664 ListNerds from having the ListNerds staked. My total increase is just under 13%. I have 76.039 ListNerds staked as of today. That's the nice passive income feature.
The active ListNerds earnings come from getting emails verified. The passive income is what you get from claiming and staking those tokens.

I Dipped My Toe into Play2Earn this Week

A couple of weeks ago I read this post from @maddogmike that was an update on his progress in Rising Star. He mentioned that it is a good way for beginners to get into the Play2Earn model on Hive. It is free and doesn't take very much time.

Just had to use my Hive username to log in and get started. I didn't understand what I was doing. I was only able to do the Illegal Busking Missions. I clicked on start and there was a 5 minute timer. I sat and wondered what I needed to do next. I thought there had to be more to it than that. After the timer ran out I didn't know what I might have gotten from the mission.

I exchanged some comments with Mike Dell on his post and learned that I didn't need to do anymore than that. He also told me that at the bottom of the page is where I could see what I received from completing the missions.

I don't even really know what I am doing and made it to Level 2. So, I think I will be playing this more often.

It's pretty easy and not very time consuming, John. I have resisted playing the games for a long time. I am involved with Splinterlands on a passive basis. I played a couple times but now I just get the SPS and DEC. Have a great day!😀

Hello, @yeckingo1! Are you asking if it is more powerful to increase CTP power in CTPtalk or List Nerds? If that is the case then I would have to say that you want to increase your CTP power in both places if possible. But in ListNerds, increasing CTP Power will allow you to upvote and verify more emails each day. The more emails you read and verify the more you increase your MAIL tokens which allow you to send your emails to more people. Good progress with your goals. I also have a 1,500 Hive target - for 2022... You are a bit ahead of me on that one!

One nice surprise has been the amount of Listnerds tokens we earn. My target for this year is (was?) 200 as I thought at $2 each it would be a bit of a stretch, but February is not yet over and I only need another 64 to hit that target... On a recent Cryptomaniacs podcast @taskmaster4450 was talking about the potential for Listnerds to become the way people make their living - something like that anyway, and it certainly got me thinking!

Im with you . Your strategy is very close to mine. Chaos, HeIndex,CTP, Hive, List Nerds and also splinterlands. I am especially happt about the Chaos. I am also learning Rising Star too.

RisingStar is the best one on Hive right now in my opinion. Just because you teuly don't have to pay anything i. order to get started, unlike the other ones.

Rising Star is a very good entry point for people who want to do the Play2Earn without having to pay anything to start. I like Splinterlands as a passive income source. I have only played a couple of battles in there. Never completed a quest yet. Today I completed 7 Illegal Busking missions and won 30 starbits in a pretty short amount of time. Now I have to wait till my energy goes back up to play some more. Tomorrow is another day. Have a great day! 😀

With a consistent schedule you can get a certain amount of mission each day. I always try to do the last one before I go to sleep, especially with the higher level missions that taken more time.

Rising Star is a great game and there are plenty of giveaways going on for the game. Feel free to check the list from the risingstargame account. I am earning quite a bit and most of it was organic from the game but I did spend some blog rewards to speed up that million starbits. My giveaway (posted earlier today) has some good tips for new players.

Well you just check in every now and then. I don't mind using my phone to run missions when I am busy because it only takes a few minutes in between stuff happening.

I love reading about people's progress on their goals. Rising Star is great as a "passive" game. You'll grow, slow and steady, and you don't have much to do.

It's way better than sitting at a slot machine because I can push the button and do other things while I wait for the mission to complete. And there is actually a return. I remember being at a slot machine on a cruise and losing 20 dollars inside of 10 minutes. Walked away from it right then. I don't have the stomach for losing money like that.
