I usually write and publish a post about Splinterlands in my Hive blog every 3-4 days.
Today I am returning to write a post about my favorite blockchain game after only 24 hours since my last post because I want to share all my happiness for the introduction of anti-bots measures in Modern Format's Ranked Battles.

I have been waiting for this moment for a long time because I have always been against Splinterlands' choice to tolerate the use of bots.

Splinterlands has so many assets and offers so many investment opportunities, and I have never seen any mid- to long-term benefit in choosing to allow the use of bots because a strategic game based on NTF should always be intended only for real players who enjoy playing by taking their time.

In my opinion bots could be tolerated only when they are much less efficient than real players but on Splinterlands for quite some time now the situation was totally in favor of bots getting much higher average win rates than real players.

Starting from yesterday the totally pro-bots situation has changed at least in the Modern Format because finally the anti-bots measures have been introduced and the ranked battles of the Modern Format are now only for real players who should also get more rewards than those who play in the Wild Format which is now the only format where bots are allowed.

I consider the change that occurred yesterday of great importance because it is a first step toward a future with better prospects for Splinterlands as a game.

In this post I share my experience of playing during the first day without bots in the modern format and so I will not go into why I have always considered and consider bots a big problem for any game that has gameplay at its base because I have done so before in many of my previous posts.

First day without bots and first positive effects

The current season is my second season playing exclusively in the Modern Format.
I completely abandoned the Wild Format ranked battles and chose to play in the Modern Format Ranked battles before the introduction of the anti-bots measures because I wanted to be able to compare my game results and game rewards in the pre bots ban and post bots ban situation.

I will only be able to make an in-depth and detailed comparison when I have data from an entire season without bots, and then I will only be able to do so when the season following the current one is over.

Although only one day has passed since the introduction of bots it is already possible to see the first effects produced by this change on the rewards in SPS tokens for each battle won.

Today season number 115 is underway.
When there are 4 days and 21 hours left until the end of the season I am in the Diamond II league of Modern Format with a rating score of 3106 points.

The last days of the previous season (season 114) I was playing in the same league I am playing in today (Diamond II) and in the screenshot below you can see the comparison of the gains I made in the last 3 battles I played and won in season 114 with the gains I made in the last 3 battles I won today (season 115).

My SPS token rewards per battle won have shown a marked and evident increase.

Before the introduction of the anti-bots measures, the rewards in SPS tokens per battle won in the Wild Format were always higher than the rewards per battle won obtainable in the Modern Format.
For example, as you can see from the data provided by https://splex.gg/tools/reward_pools (screenshot of June 3, 2023) the comparison of the average gain obtainable from a battle win was higher in the Wild Format than in the Modern Format

Only one day after the introduction of anti-bots measures in the Modern Format, the ratios of SPS token gains per battle won have already changed.

I check this data approximately every 15 days and for the first time the website https://splex.gg/tools/reward_pools shows a higher SPS token gain per battle won in the Bronze, Silver and Gold leagues of Modern Format than in Wild Format.

Regarding SPS token gains in Diamond+ leagues the Splex site still shows an advantage for the Wild Format but in my opinion it is only a matter of time because the data provided by Splex is calculated on an average recorded over a 15-day interval and so in a few days the data from the Diamond+ leagues will also be with a very high probability in favor of the Modern Format over the Wild Format.

The new anti-bots measures have already produced the first positive effects because finally real players:

• have acquired greater importance within the game.
• have begun to earn greater rewards per battle won than a bot.
• have finally the free choice to play only against other real players or to play also against bots whereas before they could not choose but had to suffer bots.

The new anti-bots measures are an important first step in the right direction.

Non più bots nel Modern Format e finalmente i giocatori reali acquistano più importanza e più ricompense di gioco!

Generalmente scrivo e pubblico un post su Splinterlands nel mio Hive blog ogni 3-4 giorni.
Oggi ritorno a scrivere un post sul mio gioco blockchain preferito dopo solo 24 ore dal mio ultimo post perchè voglio condividere tutta la mia felicità per l'introduzione delle misure anti-bots nelle Ranked Battles del Modern Format.

Aspettavo questo momento da tempo perchè sono stato sempre contrario alla scelta di Splinterlands di tollerare l'utilizzo dei bots.

Splinterlands ha tanti assets e offre tante possibilità di investimento e non ho mai visto vantaggi di medio-lungo periodo nella scelta di consentire l'utilizzo dei bots perchè un gioco strategico basato su NTF dovrebbe essere sempre destinato solo ai giocatori reali che si divertono a giocare impiegando il loro tempo.

Secondo me i bots potrebbero essere tollerati solo quando sono molto meno efficienti dei giocatori reali ma su Splinterlands da diverso tempo la situazione era totalmente a favore dei bots che ottenevano win rate mediamente molto superiori ai giocatori reali.

A partire da ieri la situazione totalmente pro-bots è cambiata almeno nel Modern Format perchè finalmente sono state introdotte le misure anti-bots e le ranked battles del Modern Format sono adesso destinate solo ai giocatori reali che dovrebbero anche ottenere più ricompense rispetto a chi gioca nel Wild Format che, a partire da ieri, è diventato l'unico formato in cui i bots sono consentiti.

Considero il cambiamento avvenuto ieri di grande importanza perchè è un primo passo verso un futuro con prospettive migliori per Splinterlands come gioco.

In questo post condivido la mia esperienza di gioco durante il primo giorno senza bots nel modern format e quindi non mi dilungherò sul perchè ho sempre considerato e considero i bots un grande problema per qualsiasi gioco che ha un gameplay alla base perchè l'ho già fatto in passato in molti miei precedenti posts.

Primo giorno senza bots e primi effetti positivi

La stagione in corso è la seconda stagione che gioco esclusivamente nel Modern Format.
Ho completamente abbandonato le ranked battles del Wild Format e ho scelto di giocare nelle Ranked battles del Modern Format prima dell'introduzione delle misure anti-bots perchè volevo essere in grado di confrontare i miei risultati di gioco e le mie ricompense di gioco nella situazione pre ban dei bots e post ban dei bots.

Potrò fare un confronto approfondito e dettagliato solo quando avrò i dati di una stagione intera senza bots e quindi potrò farlo solo quando la stagione successiva a quella attuale sarà terminata.

Anche se è passato un solo giorno dall'introduzione dei bots è già possibile vedere i primi effetti prodotti da questo importante cambiamento sulle ricompense in token SPS per ogni battaglia vinta.

Oggi è in corso la stagione numero 115.
Quando mancano 4 giorni e 21 ore alla fine della stagione sono in lega Diamond II del Modern Format con un punteggio di rating di 3106 punti.

Gli ultimi giorni della stagione precedente (114) giocavo nella stessa lega in cui gioco oggi (Diamond II) e nello screenshot seguente puoi vedere il confronto dei guadagni che ho ottenuto nelle ultime 3 battaglie giocate e vinte nella stagione 114 con i guadagni che ho ottenuto nelle ultime 3 battaglie che ho vinto oggi (stagione 115).

Le mie ricompense in token SPS per battaglia vinta hanno subito un netto ed evidente miglioramento.

Prima dell'introduzione delle misure anti-bots le ricompense in token SPS per battaglia vinta nel Wild Format sono state sempre superiori alle ricompense per battaglia vinta ottenibili nel Modern Format.
Ad esempio, come puoi vedere dai dati forniti da https://splex.gg/tools/reward_pools (screenshot del 3 giugno 2023) il confronto del guadagno medio ottenibile da una vittoria in battaglia era maggiore nel Wild Format rispetto al Modern Format

Dopo solo un giorno dall'introduzione delle misure anti-bots nel Modern Format i rapporti tra i guadagni in token SPS per battaglia vinta sono già cambiati.

Controllo questi dati più o meno ogni 15 giorni e per la prima volta il sito https://splex.gg/tools/reward_pools mostra un guadagno in token SPS per battaglia vinta maggiore nelle leghe Bronze, Silver e Gold del Modern Format rispetto al Wild Format.

Per quanto riguarda i guadagni in token SPS nelle leghe Diamond+ il sito Splex mostra ancora un vantaggio per il Wild Format ma secondo me è solo una questione di tempo perchè i dati forniti da Splex sono calcolati su una media registrata in un intervallo di 15 giorni e quindi fra qualche giorno anche i dati delle leghe Diamond+ saranno con un'altissima probabilità a favore del Modern Format rispetto al Wild Format.

Le nuove misure anti-bots hanno già prodotto i primi effetti positivi perchè finalmente i giocatori reali:

• hanno acquistato una maggiore importanza all'interno del gioco
• hanno iniziato a guadagnare ricompense per battaglia vinta maggiori rispetto ad un bot
• hanno la libera possibilità di scegliere se giocare solo contro altri giocatori reali o se giocare anche contro i bots mentre prima non potevano scegliere ma dovevano subire i bots.

Le nuove misure anti-bots sono un primo e importante passo verso la giusta direzione.
