The list of Hive Games I play continues to grow because Hive is my favorite blockchain project and because blockchain-based games are one of my passions.

On November 30, 2023, the @riseofthepixels account published a post in which it announced and introduced its project: Announcing Rise of the Pixels - Unlock Your Inner Game Developer

Rise Of The Pixels is the project of a Hive based browser game.

Rise Of The Pixels is a play to earn management game in which the player must manage a video game production company.

Rise Of The Pixels is in the Open Beta phase of development.
At this stage:

• you can purchase two game assets from the Shop section:
  • a Game Dev Studio License
  • 8-bit packs
• those who purchase 1 Game Dev Studio License and at least 1 8-bit pack can try and test some of the game's functionality at https://beta.riseofthepixels.com/
  Note: The contents of packs opened in the Open Beta phase and all game progress in this phase will be temporary and will have no reflection in the official launch phase.

The development team consists of:

@jarvie: Artworks, AI and Mechanics Advisor
@yozen: Code Fine-Tuner
@jfuji: Word Wrangler and Mechanics Advisor

In the screenshot below you can see the Roadmap updated as of December 14, 2023:

I read the Rulebook and although I have a natural preference for TCG player Vs player games like Splinterlands, the Rise Of The Pixels project seems very interesting to me and for this reason I decided to make an initial investment and try the game in this open beta phase.

Today I went to https://riseofthepixels.com/ and after logging in I purchased from the Shop section:

• 1 Game Dev Studio License
• 20 8-bit Packs

I spent a total of 201.83 HIVE

To test the game, I left the official website and went to the Beta Website and clicked on I Understand.

Then I did the login using Hive KeyChain

Then I went to the Shop section of the Beta Website and clicked on ACCEPT & JOIN.

Then I clicked on View My Packs.

Clicking on View My Packs redirected me to the Resource Hub section in which I started by opening my Starter Pack

In the starter pack I found:

• 1 Developer Common: Athena "Arcade" Arnold
• 1 Accessory Rare: Spectrum Monitor
• 250 PXL_BETA Coins

Within the Resource Hub section and I opened 41 packs.
In fact, in the Open Beta you will receive more packs than you have purchased.

In the following screenshots you can see what I found inside the 41 packs I opened

To begin testing the game, I selected my Developer of higher rarity and provided him with the best equipment.

At this testing stage my developer's stats are not improved with the equipment but in the full version they will be.

I also tried to do a fusion.

To do a fusion it is necessary that the NFTs to be merged have something in common.
For example, I can do a fusion of Developer Wolf Ripley with Wolf Nishikado (same first name) and/or Aggy Ripley (same last name).

In the following image you can see the result of the fusion of Wolf Ripley + Wolf Nishikado.

You may have noticed that Wolf Ripley's stats have remained unchanged and I purposely showed this example to point out that the stats only increase when the developer acquires a higher rarity than the starting one and in the case of Wolf Ripley it is necessary to fusion with a total of 4 NFTs of developer type that have the attribute Fusion Pt = 1

For my legendary developer, fusion with another legendary developer would be sufficient but I could only find one so I cannot show you this fusion.

Starting today, I will follow this project and the next stages of development with much interest.

Per provare il gioco sono uscito dall'official website e sono andato sul Beta Website e ho cliccato su I Understand.

Poi ho fatto il login utilizzando Hive KeyChain

Poi sono andato nella sezione Shop del Beta Website e ho cliccato su ACCEPT & JOIN.

Poi ho cliccato su View My Packs.

Cliccando su View My Packs sono stato reindirizzato nella sezione Resource Hub nella quale ho iniziato aprendo il mio Starter Pack

Nello starter pack ho trovato:

• 1 Developer Comune: Athena "Arcade" Arnold
• 1 Accessory Raro: Spectrum Monitor
• 250 PXL_BETA Coins

All'interno della sezione Resource Hub e ho aperto 41 packs.
Infatti nella Open Beta riceverai un numero di pacchi maggiori rispetto a quelli che hai acquistato e che potrai aprire quando il gioco completo sarà rilasciato.

Negli screenshots seguenti puoi vedere cosa ho trovato all'interno dei 41 pacchi che ho aperto

Per iniziare a testare il gioco ho selezionato il mio Developer di rarità maggiore e gli ho messo a disposizione gli equipaggiamenti migliori.

In questa fase di test le statistiche del mio developer non sono migliorate con gli equipaggiamenti ma nella versione completa lo saranno.

Ho provato anche a fare una fusione.

Per fare una fusione è necessario che gli NFTs abbiano qualcosa che li accomuna.
Ad esempio posso fare la fusione del Developer Wolf Ripley con Wolf Nishikado (nome uguale) e/o Aggy Ripley (cognome uguale).

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il risultato della fusione di Wolf Ripley + Wolf Nishikado.

Avrai notato che le statistiche di Wolf Ripley sono rimaste invariate e io ho volutamente mostrato questo esempio per farti notare che le statistiche aumentano solo quando il developer acquisisce una rarità maggiore di quella di partenza e nel caso di Wolf Ripley è necessaria la fusione con un totale di 4 NFTs di tipo developer che hanno l'attributo Fusion Pt = 1

Per il mio developer leggendario basterebbe la fusione con un altro developer leggendario ma io ne ho trovato solo uno e quindi non posso mostrarti questa fusione.

A partire da oggi seguirò con molto interesse questo progetto e le successive fasi di sviluppo.
