My Experience in the New Compaign Mode!
38 Foundation Cards and 1100 GLINT Earned!
On June 3, 2025 Splinterlands added a new game mode: Campaign Mode!
The major difference with the other main game modes is that:
- Ranked Play, Guild Brawls and Tournament game modes are player vs players (PvP).
- The Campaign game mode is a Player vs Environment (PvE) game mode.
The Campaign game mode is a free-to-play game mode that allows you to:
- learn the game dynamics
- Play
- Gain
In fact, by playing in the Campaign mode it is possible to earn:
- Foundation Cards (Soulbound but usable in Ranked Play).
- Glint
I am coming from a period full of various kinds of commitments and only today I had the free time to try this new game mode and I thought I would do two things together: try the new Campaign mode and publish a post to share my experience and considerations.
Right now phase 1 of the Campaign mode is active: BOOK 1 - WAUR MEDGE ACADEMY
Phase 1 consists of 11 chapters.
The first chapter is called Welcome to Waur Medge.
Welcoming is the Headmaster Bimbelnok
To advance through the first chapter, you must click on the arrow in the lower right corner.
At the end of Chapter 1 the rewards are:
- 1 Aurelia (Archon)
- 1 Dread Tafarian (Unit)
- 100 GLINTS
After the claim of rewards you can choose between:
- Next Chapter
- Chapter Select
The second chapter aims to explain the difference between Archons type cards and units type cards.
The second chapter is instructive but also interactive because it is necessary to enter the arena and play.
Professor Magnus Flint explains how to select and use in battle the Archon and Unit type cards received in the first lesson.
At the end of the game battle, Chapter 2 is concluded and the rewards are 1 Mad Gearhead card + 100 GLINT.
The topic of chapter 3 is “Melee Attacks”.
Compared to Chapter 2, the units to be used in battle are two and it is possible to begin to understand the importance of positioning.
In the next images you can see the topics, battles and rewards of the other chapters I completed today.

For completing all the chapters in book 1 I received a total of 1100 GLINT which is possible to spend in the GLINT Shop.
I also received 38 cards of the Foundations set which you can see in the next images.
I really like the new game mode implemented by Splinterlands because it is a great starting point for new players to learn the game dynamics and also to have a deck of cards to start playing.
In phase 2 new chapters will be added and it will be possible to combine, buy and sell Foundation cards.

It is also important to note that this game mode is reserved for human players who play manually and not for those who use bots and automatons.

Su Splinterlands, il 3 giugno 2025, è stata aggiunta una nuova modalità di gioco: Campaign Mode!
La differenza sostanziale con le altre principali modalità di gioco è che:
- le modalità di gioco Ranked Play, Guild Brawls e Tournament sono player vs players (PvP)
- la modalità di gioco Campaign è una modalità di gioco Player vs Environment (PvE)
La modalità di gioco Campaign è una modalità di gioco free to play che permette di:
- Imparare le dinamiche di gioco
- Giocare
- Guadagnare
Infatti giocando nella Campaign mode è possibile guadagnare:
- Foundation Cards (Soulbound ma utilizzabili nel Ranked Play)
- Glint
Vengo da un periodo pieno di impegni di vario tipo e solo oggi ho avuto il tempo libero di provare questa nuova modalità di gioco e ho pensato di fare due cose insieme: provare la nuova modalità Campaign e pubblicare un post per condividere la mia esperienza e le mie considerazioni.
In questo momento è attiva la phase 1 della modalità Campaign: BOOK 1 - WAUR MEDGE ACADEMY
La fase 1 è composta da 11 capitoli.
Il primo capitolo si chiama Welcome to Waur Medge
A dare il benvenuto è l'Headmaster Bimbelnok
Per avanzare nel primo capitolo è necessario cliccare sulla freccia in basso a destra.
Alla fine del Chapter 1 le ricompense sono:
- 1 Aurelia (Archon)
- 1 Dread Tafarian (Unit)
- 100 GLINT
Dopo il claim delle rewards è possibile scegliere tra:
- Next Chapter
- Chapter Select
Il secondo capitolo ha lo scopo di spiegare la differenza tra le carte di tipo Archons e le carte di tipo units.
Il secondo capitolo è istruttivo ma anche interattivo perchè è necessario entrare nell'arena e giocare.
Il professor Magnus Flint spiega come selezionare e utilizzare in battaglia le carte di tipo Archon e le carte di tipo Unit ricevute nella prima lezione.
Alla fine della battaglia di gioco, il capitolo 2 è concluso e le ricompense sono 1 Mad Gearhead card + 100 GLINT.
L'argomento del capitolo 3 è "Melee Attacks".
Rispetto al capitolo 2 le unità da utilizzare in battaglia sono due ed è possibile iniziare a capire l'importanza del posizionamento.
Nelle prossime immagini puoi vedere gli argomenti, le battaglie e i premi degli altri capitoli che ho completato oggi.

Per aver completato tutti i capitoli del book 1 ho ricevuto in totale 1100 GLINT che è possibile spendere nel GLINT Shop.
Ho ricevuto anche 38 carte del set Foundations che puoi vedere nelle prossime immagini.
Mi piace molto la nuova modalità di gioco implementata da Splinterlands perchè è un ottimo punto di partenza per i nuovi giocatori per imparare le dinamiche di gioco e anche per avere un deck di carte per iniziare a giocare.
Nella fase 2 saranno aggiunti nuovi capitoli e sarà possibile combinare, acquistare e vendere le Foundation cards.
Inoltre è importante notare che questa modalità di gioco è riservata ai giocatori umani che giocano manualmente e non a chi usa bots e automatismi.

I think this is a great way to give cards for people to use. It makes me wonder if there is a level cap to where you can use these cards and if these cards will affect the SPS/GLint you get in ranked battles.

Are you sure that is all the cards you got from the campaign? You only have two water cards and three neutral cards in your photos. You should have gotten 6 water cards and 5 neutral.

I think the cards will affect the SPS rewards you're meant to receive in each game. But this is a great way for new players to participate in the game. It helps onboarding to be made easier. They're decent cards too, fun way to earn cards and learn about the game for new users.
Molto bene, questa sì che è un'ottima modalità per aiutare i nuovi giocatori a muovere i primi passi e ad ottenere anche qualche carta! Tra l'altro avere anche un mini set apposito da sbloccare in questa modalità è un ottimo modo per incentivare anche tutti gli altri giocatori a provarla :)
