I started my gaming and investing adventure on Hashkings on February 8, 2022.
On the same day I wrote a short introduction to the game, shared my choice of my first purchases (Land cards and Seed cards) and also explained the reasons for my choices (estimated annual ROI).

With today's post, I continue to share my experience of playing/investing on Hashkings and today I want to share my thoughts and evaluations on HKWATER tokens and the NFT Water Tower that allows daily production of HKWATER tokens.

The HKWATER tokens and the Water Tower

When I planted my first seed in the game of Hashkings it was February 8, 2022.
In the game of Hashkings each seed after being planted has to be watered and the water is represented by HKWATER tokens which are utility tokens that can be purchased from one of the Dex for Hive's second-level blockchain tokens such as Hive Engine or TribalDEX.

On February 8 to water the Panama Red seed, I purchased 504 HKWATER tokens and spent 0.000019 SWAP.HIVE per HKWATER token with a total cost of 0.00957600 SWAP.HIVE.

If I wanted to buy the same quatitative of tokens today I would have to spend 0.03482640 SWAP.HIVE (+245%).

Of all the Hashkings tokens the HKWATER tokens are the ones that have had the greatest increase in value during the last two months as is evident by looking at the candlestick chart on TribalDex.

In the following image you can see the difference between the values of the HKWATER (Lowest Ask) tokens on February 8, 2022 and today, June 4, 2022.

Buying a HKWATER token today costs 245% more than on February 8, 2022.

This means that people like me who do not have a Water Tower have to buy HKWATER tokens and as a result will have a smaller profit from each Harvest operation.

In fact today I made my 10th Harvest from my 4 Land South America in which I had planted 7 days ago 3 Panama Red seeds and 1 Colombian Gold seed.

From the Harvest operation I obtained a total of 1038 BUDS tokens.

The current value of 1038 BUDS tokens is 0.2201 SWAP.HIVE = $0.1188 (Highest BID).

Thanks to my activity of burning BUDS tokens and staking MOTA tokens, today, for the first time since I started playing Hashkings, I don't have to buy Seed-type NFTs because I received 4 seeds completely free of charge from the MOTA token pool.

I planted 3 Panama Red seeds and 1 Colombian Gold seed but to restart production I need to purchase 2072 HKWATER tokens whose total cost is 0.14297 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0772

My farm is self-sufficient because with the BUDS tokens I got from my tenth harvest I can restart production and I am also left with profit of 364 BUDS = 0.0771 SWAP.HIVE = $0.0416.

The problem is that the profit is really small because I have to use almost 70% of the BUDS produced by my last harvest to buy the HKWATER tokens needed to restart production.

How to reduce the cost due to the purchase of HWATER tokens?

The first solution is to purchase the HKWATER tokens at a lower price through a buying offer (BID).

I placed a purchase offer about 3 hours ago but still no one has accepted my offer even though my purchase offer is the best at the moment.

The second solution is to purchase a Water Tower that produces an amount of HKWATER tokens every day.

In order to satisfy the weekly water needs of my farm I should purchase a Water Tower that would allow me to get at least 2100 HKWATER per week.
As you can see from the data in the following image I should purchase at least one Water Tower of level 5 which with a daily production of 302 HKWATER tokens would ensure me a total of 2114 HKWATER tokens per week.

On NFTMart there are 8 types of Water Tower available for purchase (see image below).

In order to evaluate whether or not it is worthwhile to purchase a Water Tower card of a determined level, I calculated the HKWATER/SWAP.HIVE ratio and the Annual Estimated ROI for each Water Tower card on the market today.

The HKWATER/SWAP.HIVE ratio indicates how many HKWATER tokens a Water Tower produces per day for each SWAP.HIVE token spent in the purchase.

The **estimated annual ROI indicates the percentage return I should get in a year by purchasing a given Water Tower card. It is an estimated value because the calculation refers to the current value of HKWATER tokens, which, however, is not a constant value.

When I purchase an NFT that produces tokens to calculate the Estimated Profit and Estimated ROI I always consider the Highest Bid value of the token that is produced and therefore I considered for the HKWATER token the value of 0.000040 SWAP.HIVE (Highest BID).

As you can see from the calculations prensent in the table below the best possible purchase is the NFT Water Tower level 6 which produces an estimated annual ROI of +25.72%.

However, this ROI is too low to convince me to make the purchase.

Why should I spend 21 HIVE to have an estimated ROI of 25.72% if I can, for example, convert the 21 HIVE to HBD and put it into savings to have a certain annual ROI of 20%?

In addition, if the value of the HKWATER tokens goes down in the future, the ROI would also go down.

For these reasons I will not buy a Water Tower today but every time I harvest I will check the market prices hoping to find cheaper prices than the current ones.

I will buy a Water Tower when I find an estimated annual ROI of at least 40% and then purchase a Water Tower at the prices shown in the table below.

Market prices are not made by Hashkings but by players, and I think the prices shown in the above table are fair prices for both sellers and buyers unlike the current market prices, which in my opinion are on average too high.
If any of my readers have a water tower that they want to sell at the prices shown in the table above they can write to me in the comments and I will buy it right away ;)

Conclusion

Hashkings is a game that I really like because it has very large tokenomics and the farming mode is only one of the available game modes and I have explored less than 50% of everything Hashkings offers.

In all farming games it is important to make evaluations and calculations before buying tokens or NFTs, and with today's post I wanted to show this aspect.
Because of the current value of HKWATER tokens I will only proceed with BID purchases as long as the value of HKWATER tokens is the current value and will only start production when my purchase offer has been accepted.
In this post I have not analyzed and evaluated the possibility of renting the Water Tower card because the convenience or otherwise of renting an NFT Land or an NFT Water Tower will be the topic of my next post inherent to Hashkings.

Ho iniziato la mia avventura ludica e di investimento su Hashkings l'8 febbraio 2022.
Lo stesso giorno ho scritto una breve introduzione al gioco, ho condiviso la scelta dei miei primi acquisti (carte Land e carte Seed) e ho spiegato anche i motivi delle mie scelta (ROI annuale stimato).

Con il post di oggi continuo a condividere la mia esperienza di gioco/investimento su Hashkings e oggi voglio condividere le mie considerazioni e le mie valutazioni sui token HKWATER e sull'NFT Water Tower che permette di produrre giornalmente i token HKWATER.

I token HKWATER e la Water Tower

Quando ho piantato il mio primo seme nel gioco di Hashkings era l'8 febbraio 2022.
Nel gioco di Hashkings ogni seme dopo essere stato piantato deve essere innaffiato con dell'acqua che è rappresentata dai token HKWATER che sono degli utility token che possono essere acquistati da uno dei Dex per i token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive come Hive Engine o TribalDEX.

L'8 febbraio per innaffiare il seme Panama Red ho acquistato 504 token HKWATER e ho speso 0.000019 SWAP.HIVE per ogni token HKWATER con un costo totale di 0.00957600 SWAP.HIVE.

Se volessi acquistare oggi lo stesso quatitativo di token dovrei spendere 0.03482640 SWAP.HIVE (+245%).

Tra tutti i token di Hashkings i token HKWATER sono quelli che hanno avuto il maggior incremento di valore durante gli ultimi due mesi come è evidente guardando il grafico candlestick su TribalDex.

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la differenza tra i valori delle migliori offerte di vendita dei token HKWATER (Lowest Ask) nei giorni 8 febbraio 2022 e oggi 4 giugno 2022.

Comprare un token HKWATER oggi costa il 245% in più rispetto all'8 febbraio 2022.

Questo vuol dire che chi come me non ha una Water Tower deve acquistare i token HKWATER e di consenguenza avrà da ogni operazione di Harvest un profitto più piccolo.

Infatti oggi ho effettuato il mio decimo raccolto dalle mie 4 Land South America in cui avevo piantato sette giorni fa 3 semi Panama Red e 1 seme Colombian Gold.

Dall'operazione di Harvest ho ottenuto in totale 1038 token BUDS.

Il valore attuale di 1038 token BUDS è di 0.2201 SWAP.HIVE = 0.1188$ (Highest BID).

Grazie alla mia attività di bruciatura dei token BUDS e di staking dei token MOTA, oggi, per la prima volta da quando ho iniziato a giocare ad Hashkings, non devo acquistare NFT di tipo Seme perchè ho ricevuto 4 semi in modo completamente gratuito dalla pool dei token MOTA.

Ho piantato 3 semi Panama Red e 1 seme Colombian Gold ma per far ripartire la produzione ho bisogno di acquistare 2072 token HKWATER il cui costo totale è di 0.14297 SWAP.HIVE = 0.0772$

La mia fattoria è autosufficiente perchè con i token BUDS che ho ottenuto dal mio decimo harvest posso far ripartire la produzione e mi rimane anche profitto di 364 BUDS = 0.0771 SWAP.HIVE = 0.0416$.

Il problema è che il profitto è davvero piccolo perchè devo utilizzare quasi il 70% dei BUDS prodotti dal mio ultimo raccolto per acquistare i token HKWATER necessari per far ripartire la produzione.

Come ridurre il costo dovuto all'acquisto dei token HWATER?

La prima soluzione è acquistare i token HKWATER ad un prezzo inferiore tramite un'offerta di acquisto (BID).

Ho inserito un'offerta di acquisto circa 3 ore fa ma ancora nessuno ha accettato la mia offerta anche se la mia offerta di acquisto è la migliore al momento.

La seconda soluzione è l'acquisto di una Water Tower che produce un quantitativo di token HKWATER ogni giorno.

Per soddisfare il fabbisogno settimanale di acqua della mia fattoria dovrei acquistare una Water Tower che mi permetta di ottenere almeno 2100 HKWATER a settimana.
Come puoi vedere dai dati presenti nell'immagine seguente dovrei acquistare almeno una Water Tower di livello 5 che con una produzione giornaliera di 302 token HKWATER mi assicurerebbe un totale di 2114 token HKWATER a settimana.

Su NFTMart ci sono 8 tipologie di Water Tower disponibili all'acquisto (vedi immagine seguente).

Per valutare la convenienza o meno dell'acquisto di una carta Water Tower di un determinato livello ho calcolato il rapporto HKWATER/SWAP.HIVE e il ROI Stimato Annuale per ogni carta Water Tower presente oggi sul mercato.

Il rapporto HKWATER/SWAP.HIVE indica quanti token HKWATER produce al giorno una Water Tower per ogni token SWAP.HIVE speso nell'acquisto.

Il ROI stimato annuale indica la percentuale di ritorno che dovrei ottenere in un anno acquistando una determinata carta Water Tower. E' un valore stimato perchè il calcolo si riferisce al valore attuale dei token HKWATER che però non è un valore costante.

Quando acquisto un NFT che produce dei token per calcolare il Profitto stimato e il ROI stimato considero sempre il valore Highest Bid del token che viene prodotto e quindi ho considerato per il token HKWATER il valore di 0.000040 SWAP.HIVE (Highest BID).

Come puoi vedere dai calcoli prensenti nella tabella seguente il miglior acquisto possibile è l'NFT Water Tower di livello 6 che produce un ROI stimato annuale del +25.72%.

Però questo ROI è troppo basso per convincermi ad effettuare l'acquisto.

Perchè dovrei spendere 21 HIVE per avere un ROI stimato del 25.72% se posso ad esempio convertire i 21 HIVE in HBD e metterli in savings per avere un ROI annuale certo del 20%?

Inoltre se il valore dei token HKWATER dovesse scendere in futuro scenderebbe anche il ROI.

Per questi motivi non acquisterò oggi una Water Tower ma ogni volta che effettuerò il raccolto controllerò i prezzi di mercato sperando di trovare prezzi più convenienti di quelli attuali.

Comprerò una Water Tower quando troverò un ROI stimato annuale di almeno il 40% e quindi acquisterò una Water Tower ai prezzi indicati nella tabella seguente.

I prezzi di mercato non li fa Hashkings ma i giocatori e penso che i prezzi indicati nella tabella precedente siano prezzi giusti sia per chi vende che per chi compra a differenza di quelli di mercato attuali che secondo me sono mediamente troppo alti.
Se qualcuno dei miei lettori ha una water tower che vuole vendere ai prezzi indicati nella tabella in alto può scrivermelo nei commenti e io la comprerò subito ;)

Conclusione

Hashkings è un gioco che mi piace molto perchè ha una tokenomics molto ampia e la modalità di farming è solo una delle modalità di gioco disponibili e io ho esplorato meno del 50% di tutto quello che offre Hashkings.

In tutti i giochi di farming è importante fare valutazioni e calcoli prima di acquistare token o NFT e con il post di oggi ho voluto mostrare questo aspetto.
Dato il valore attuale dei token HKWATER procederò solo con gli acquisti BID fin quando il valore dei token HKWATER sarà quello attuale e inizierò la produzione solo quando la mia offerta di acquisto sarà stata accettata.
In questo post non ho analizzato e valutato la possibilità di affittare la carta Water Tower perchè la convenienza o meno di affittare un NFT Land o un NFT Water Tower sarà l'argomento del mio prossimo post inerente ad Hashkings.
