20 - Virid Venomancer - Earth Common
Virid Venomancer is a five mana magic attack monster who brings the very important Shield Ward ability. She deals only two magic damage but her attacks do Poison and Impede which will degrade the opposing team while she strengthens the card in front of her. As an orc she can be brought to the water splinter using the archon Gorgug the Endless. This card will fit well behind the reach monster and should become a fan favourite.
19 - Leolin Sifu - Life Epic
Leolin Sifu is a heavy melee attack unit that will rake up the kills for sure but won't survive for very long. Her four damage is buffed by True Strike, Relentless Strike as well as Execute, while also bringing a speed buff to the entire team. She deals heavy, reliable damage while finishing off weakened opponents. With average speed and no damage mitigation, she is going down eventually, but will give a good fight for nine mana.
18 - Cavewise Wayfinder - Fire Common
Cavewise Wayfinder is a mid-mana melee main tank. It is one of those cards with a huge potential to affect the outcome of the fight, if conditions are right. He can boost himself to 6 damage and 6 speed with the enrage, and has a good amount of health, plus Void for magic defense. The Reckless pairs well with the Vicious Giraffe, which is a huge benefit if you play that combo. Add an ambush to the mix and this feels like an overpowered card. However, a Shatter and a couple of Relentless Strikes will quickly ruin this monster's day.
17 - Shadowfey Sheik - Death Rare
Shadowfey Sheik is a six mana magic Life Leech monster that also brings Flying, Painforged and Affliction. The combination of Life Leech and Painforged is a truly powerful one, especially in poison rulesets. The poison strengthens your attack and you recover the lost HP, even gaining more HP over time, simply by surviving and attacking each turn. Unfortunately this will not proc for him in earthquake rulesets, but this is one of those must-have cards for the death splinter.
16 - Blazebeard Merc - Fire Epic
Blazebeard Merc is a three mana melee Charge monster with a crazy attack, but a crazy short lifespan too. He will burn himself out within four turns unless he can get kills to activate his bloodlust, and could hurt your team too. He should get lots of kills though, and is a great choice for either the first spot or the last spot in the lineup. You can also use him to activate Painforged on other monsters. High risk, high reward.
