I am getting the taste for teaching and commenting on those arcade games that accompanied me during my childhood.

Sunset Riders is a game created by the developer Konami in 1991, for Arcade machine. Subsequently, different versions were released for the Mega Drive and Super Nintendo consoles.

The game is set in the old west. Where we star as 4 bounty hunters, Steve, Billy, Bob and Cormano. The objective is simple, our mission is to capture or kill the various outlaws to claim loot.
El juego está ambientado en el viejo oeste. Donde protagonizamos a 4 cazarrecompensas, Steve, Billy, Bob y Cormano. El objetivo es simple, nuestra misión es capturar o matar a los distintos forajidos para reclamar un botín.
Basically, Sunset Riders is a shooting and platform game. Where we have to advance while shooting everything that moves. For this, the game allows us to aim in 8 different directions. Apart from that we have other mechanics such as sliding, jumping and doing an acrobatics when necessary.
Básicamente, Sunset Riders es un juego de disparos y plataformas. Donde tenemos que avanzar mientras le disparamos a todo lo que se mueva. Para esto, el juego nos permite apuntar en 8 direcciones distintas. Aparte que tenemos otras mecánicas como la de deslizarnos, saltar y hacer una acrobacia cuando es necesario.
Each character has his own characteristic way of shooting, as they all have different weapons. For example, Cormano has a shotgun. Therefore, his shots are in burst and with little direction. In addition to this, the game gives us different badges to improve our weapons. The golden one provides us with more powerful ammunition and the silver one gives us the possibility of doubling our weapon to shoot twice as much.
Cada personaje tiene su forma característica de disparar, ya que todos tienen diferentes armas. Por ejemplo, Cormano posee una escopeta. Por ende, sus disparos son en ráfaga y con poca dirección. Sumado a esto, el juego nos otorgan distintas insignias para mejorar nuestras armas. La dorada no provee de municiones más potentes y la plateada la posibilidad de duplicar nuestra arma para disparar el doble.
The scenarios are very good. For my taste they are well designed and have an incredible color palette. And the best thing is that they are versatile. At times we are walking through the cars of a train and then we are inside a tavern.
Los escenarios son muy buenos. Para mi gusto están bien diseñados y cuentan con una increíble paleta de colores. Y lo mejor es que son versátiles. Por momentos estamos recorriendo los vagones de un tren y seguidamente estamos dentro de una taberna.
And the best thing about this aspect is that sometimes we have the possibility of interacting with the scenery. There are moments where in the middle of the battle we can go into a bar and come out drinking a bottle of alcohol or hugging a brothel dancer. This was something that was funny to me when I was a kid. And it still does 🤣
Y lo mejor de este aspecto es que a veces tenemos la posibilidad de interactuar con los escenarios. Hay momentos donde en medio de la contienda podemos adentrarnos a un bar y salir tomando una botella de alcohol o abrazado de una bailarina de burdel. Esto era algo que me causaba gracia cuando era un niño. Y lo sigue haciendo 🤣
Something that surprised me a lot is its soundtrack. For a game more than 30 years old, it's very good. Nowadays we are very used to games with great soundtracks, but in the old days, it was not the rule. Below I am going to share with you a piece of music so you can judge for yourselves.

A few years ago, I remember when I went to the beach, I found an arcade machine with this game. So I guess there must be active machines with Sunset Riders today. Hopefully you can locate one so I can play like in the old days.

Anyway, this was a great game for me and represents a little piece of my childhood. It's not a big deal, but I cherish the memories. When I played it with my brother when I was 12 and 9 years old.
