A friend and I decided to participate in a Community Day. This event consists in that during one day (usually Saturday or Sunday) from 2pm to 5pm only one Pokémon will appear. In addition, during that time the probability of getting a shiny is much higher. If I'm not mistaken, it's 1 in 25, which makes it relatively easy to find one. There are also other temporary bonuses that are not so relevant.
Con un amigo decidimos participar de un Día de la Comunidad. Este evento consta en que durante un día (que suele ser sábado o domingo) de 14 hs a 17 hs solo aparecerá un Pokémon. Sumado a que durante ese tiempo la probabilidad de que te salga un shiny es mucho mayor. Si no me equivoco, es de 1 entre 25. Lo que hace que sea relativamente fácil encontrarse con uno. También hay otro bonus temporales que no son tan relevantes.
This particular event is held twice a month with different Pokémon. And with my friend we only participate on very occasional occasions. Only when we really like the Pokémon. Other than that we are very casual players, we go out very occasionally. The last time was half a year ago.

We decided to get involved this time because the Pokémon of choice was Eevee. Which is very popular and has 8 different evolutions. We were excited about the idea of getting all the evolutions in their shiny version. That's why we thought it was ideal to participate this time.

For the event we went to Rivadavia Park which is located in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. A safe place to play quietly and where many Pokémon Go players usually gather. Especially when an event takes place.
Para el evento fuimos al Parque Rivadavia qué se encuentra en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires. Un lugar seguro para poder jugar tranquilo y donde se suelen reunir muchos jugadores de Pokémon Go. Sobre todo cuando se realiza algún evento.
On the positive side, this park was relatively close and the day was very pleasant. Even though it is winter in this part of the world, it was clear and the temperatures were pleasant.
Lo positivo es que este parque nos quedaba relativamente cerca y el día era muy agradable. A pesar de que en esta parte del mundo es invierno, estaba despejado y con temperaturas agradables.

When we arrived we started catching as many Eevee as we could. My friend's goal was to catch some Eevee with perfect IV's, which is a bit tricky. I was going with a conservative mindset. I wanted to get Sylveon and Umbreon shiny with decent IVs.
Cuando llegamos empezamos a capturar todos los Eevee que pudiéramos. El objetivo de mi amigo era atrapar algún Eevee con los IV's perfectos, cosa que es algo complicado. Yo iba con una mentalidad conservadora. Quería conseguir a Sylveon y Umbreon shiny con IVs decentes.
Basically, we spent the first 2.5 hours catching everything we asked for and doing a couple of raids. We took advantage of the ninth anniversary event of Pokémon Go to get Pikachu with a cake on its head. I also took the opportunity to get a dark Registeel which I didn't get very good. 😅
Básicamente, nos pasamos las primeras 2 horas y media capturando todo lo que pidiéramos y haciendo un par de incursiones. Aprovechábamos que en simultáneo seguía activo el evento de noveno aniversario de Pokémon Go para conseguir a Pikachu con pastel en la cabeza. También aproveché para conseguir un Registeel oscuro qué no me salió muy bueno. 😅

Half an hour before the end of the event, my cell phone turned off due to lack of battery. So we were about to leave, but before we did, someone approached us to tell us that a 100% Eevee was very close. That is, perfect IVs. My friend was thrilled and I regretted it because my cell phone was dead.
Media hora antes que terminara el evento, a mí se me apagó el celular por falta de batería. Así que estábamos por irnos, pero antes se nos acerca alguien a avisarnos que muy cerca se encontraba un Eevee 100%. O sea, IVs perfectos. Cosa que emocionó a mi amigo y que yo lamenté por tener el celular muerto.
After walking for 10 minutes with a group of people we didn't know, my friend managed to get that 100% Eevee. It then evolved into Leafeon.
Luego de caminar 10 minutos junto a un grupo de personas que no conocíamos, mi amigo logró conseguir ese Eevee 100%. Que luego evolucionó a Leafeon.
In conclusion, even though it ended with a bitter taste, I had a great afternoon. I achieved my main goal and not only that, I was able to get all the evolutions with good IVs. Since I got several good Eevee between the ones I found and the ones I got through lucky trades.
En conclusión, a pesar de que terminó con un gusto amargo, pasé una gran tarde. Logré mi objetivo principal y no solo eso, pude conseguir todas las evoluciones con buenos IVs. Ya que obtuve varios Eevee buenos entre los que encontré y los que conseguí a través de intercambios con suerte.
I came back satisfied and sincerely satisfied. I hope that before the end of the year there will be another opportunity to go out and play again. It is very entertaining to participate in these events from time to time.

Because of my location, it wasn't a game I really got to play much. I think I still need to have my account since I linked it to Nintendo but couldn't enjoy it, so I was discouraged.
However, one thing I did do that I really enjoyed was transferring some Generation 1 Pokémon (yellow, red, and blue) to Pokémon GO using the Pokebank and the PokeTranslator. It was a pretty entertaining experience. In fact, for Switch owners, I think they can trade Pokémon more easily.

Oh, I see, hahaha, that did bring you luck. I couldn't get around because of the location issue. And yes, those apps were created, if I'm not mistaken, from the DS to the 3DS to solve the problems with the Link Cable, where Pokémon were limited to Game Boy cassettes.
I was able to do it because I downloaded all the Pokémon on the 3DS up to the latest generation of the console (Ultrasol), and it just kept going from there.
