Medusa Splinterlands Weekly Art Contest

Hello, how are you? For my entry for this week, I am going to draw Medusa. As I was browsing all the brushes on Krita, I saw that they have brushes for snake skin, so yeah, they are perfect for Medusa's snakes. I'm so thankful that I browsed all the brushes first. Imagine me manually drawing the ski, and dang, until now, I am still drawing it, LOL.

The hot weather boosts me to finish this before I can go to my brother's room to cool down for a bit, LOL. I can't work there because I will feel sleepy, and I can't deal with that, LOL.

The Process:

For the line art, I used marker detail, and to make this clean line art, I adjusted the stabilization of the brush.

Next is I am going to start adding the base color of the character. What I do is I use this shape fill tool, which makes life easier, just drag the brush to the place you want, and it will fill it for you.

Next is I started to add the base render, which is the shadows and highlights, so it will get easier to render later.

Next is I added texture to the canvas that is always a ritual for me to do, and then I use this basic 2 opacity brush to add the render on each part, and when I need to smoothen it, it is the time I am going to use soft airbrush.

For this part, I darken the background a little bit just to tone the character I am rendering.

For the final part, I decided to add a purple background, and I started to add stronger shadows and highlights.
