What's my side hustle?
Having multiple income sources is a good way to balance the ups and downs of your life. You won't only be able to have security knowing that you can rely on one source and not the other, but at the same time you'll also be able to take yourself and your family out of risky situations.
The need for passive income is increasing as more people are going to the university and they need to find ways to pay tuition, rent, and other living expenses. Add the fact that there are fewer jobs out there, you can imagine why we need to look for multiple sources of income or different income streams so that we can live comfortably in this world.
The world's most famous and successful multi-millionaires; the ones who have made their billion-dollar fortunes almost never had it easy. In fact, they almost never had any money at all. And yet they did it anyway. How did they do it? They created passive income streams that would support them in the event of an unforeseen financial emergency (like when their business went bankrupt).
This is how people like Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffett, and Bill Gates got rich: by creating income streams that would let them live well in the event of an emergency. They didn't rely on one source of income they diversified their resources. When we talk about passive income, it's mostly about the income derived from investments, rental properties, royalties, and dividends. Do I have any of that right now? Probably
In the past, I used to be involved in a lot of side hustles which are usually online. Things like paid online surveys, risky investments (involving both fiat and crypto), cryptocurrency faucets, etc. For the online surveys, I usually get them a few days a week and the payment usually come in dollars or Euros but the problem with them is that the payment gateways aren't really supported in my country, so it's very difficult to get my earnings from them.
The risky investments are usually ponzi and pyramid schemes. I did a lot of that back in 2020 and they started great at first but it later became a nightmare. The way they work is that I will pay a certain amount of money (maybe $10) and after a specific period (usually a month), I get back double that initial amount ($20), just for doing nothing, isn't that the definition of passive income?
But most of those schemes turned out to be scams and I ended up losing a lot of money back then and I totally stopped investing in anything remotely related to ponzi schemes. Right now, my only side hustle is blogging and I won't really call it a side hustle because that's the only hustle I have right now. I'm currently a student and I don't usually have time for a lot of things but blogging on hive and other platforms has provided me with a good source of income.
The good thing with crypto blogging is that I earn cryptocurrencies which I can then choose to hodl or invest. For example, there are a lot of second-layer tokens on hive which I sometimes earn alongside the usual HBD. Those tokens can be staked and become an additional source of income without much effort from me, that itself is a passive income.
One passive income I will wish to have in the future is real estate. I want to own buildings that I can give out to people and collect rent from them. That's a very good source of passive income and all that it requires is regular maintenance which can easily be done with some of the rent money.

Everyone wants to go into real estate, including me too 😂
That is sure a big passive income for one who owns buildings and decided to rent them out while the money keeps coming in.
We all need side hustles as passive income for us.
Going into real estate is one of the things most people try to do before getting old and it's for a good reason; it's easy money 😁
Yea... Easy money.

Real estate investment is a big deal, it's somehow seen as a permanent Investment it lasts for generation with little maintenance from time to time.
It's a good idea
Exactly why I like it. Owning multiple properties all over the world is a sure way of making extra income without stress
Ask anyone who knows, there is great risk that comes with relying solely on one source of income. No one knows tomorrow, anything at all can happen and that particular one might be hit, then you would have nothing to fall back on. This is why secondary hustle is important. And as it is, crypto and real estate are two that will always be in vogue.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Exactly, having only one source of income is not a smart way of living life because anything can happen at anytime. Thanks for reading
