Online or physical shopping?
One of the things that we all do as humans is shopping which can be in the form of going physically to a market or store to do our shopping or we do it online which is becoming more popular these days. In the past, online shopping was nonexistent and people have no choice but to visit their local markets, but is shopping online now a better option?
Personally, I don't have a preference when it comes to these methods of shopping because they both have their pros and cons and I only use one in place of the other depending on the item I'm purchasing. One thing I don't like about physical shopping is price haggling, especially if you don't know the actual price of an item and there's a tendency that the merchant will hike the price if they perceive you as a rich person.
I come across this problem a lot in my country. Merchants fix the price of their commodity depending on your social status. If they see the buyer as someone very rich, they increase the price to a ridiculous amount and if the person doesn't know the original price of that item, they end up falling for it and paying a huge amount of money. You can only escape this if you're buying from a shopping mall or super market that has price tags on their items.
But this problem isn't common in online shopping, especially if you're shopping in a big e-commerce store. The price is the same for everyone regardless of their social status. One major problem with online shopping is that you're never sure of the quality of the item you're buying. You only get to judge the quality with your eyes while looking at its picture which is sometimes more beautiful than the actual item.
It's for this reason that I don't buy fashion items online because they might look beautiful in the picture but end up being of very bad quality and you might end up getting the wrong size. I mostly buy electronic gadget but only from reputable online stores which I can be sure doesn't sell fake items. Another good thing about online shopping is that it's very convenient and not stressful.
I can be in my house and just order whatever I want and get it without even leaving my house (except going out to pick it up from the delivery agent). But this actually leads to another problem; you won't get what you want immediately. Whenever I shop online, I don't get the items I buy that same day and I have to wait for a couple of days before I can get them, mostly because the items are being delivered from another city.
But with physical shopping, you can just go out and return with the item within a few minutes or hours. Another reason why I sometimes choose to shop online is of I notice the price of the item I want is a lot cheaper online than buying from a physical store. A lot of these online stores do offer discounts and coupons which is something I have never gotten in a physical store.
Take for example; domino's pizza and cold stone ice cream have a website where you can place orders if you don't want to visit their physical buildings but they offer some special promos only when you're buying online, which has made me switch to shopping online whenever I want to buy pizza or ice cream. So, if you're a regular customer of these two companies (in Nigeria, I don't know about other countries), you might want to start using their websites or apps to get good offers
Again, this is why I initially said I don't have an actual preference for any of them and it depends on what I'm buying. If it's something urgent and I want to be careful about the quality, I go with physical shopping but if it's something I don't mind getting in a couple of days, cheaper, and from a trusted store, then I use online shopping. But if I'm forced to choose, then I prefer online shopping.

The idea of judging customers based on physical appearance is a bad marketing habit which many traders possess. It's one of the disadvantages of physical shopping. Extorting unsuspecting individuals because they "look" rich isn't a flex.
Exactly, I have seen that happened so many times especially if they perceive the person as a yahoo boy. That's the main reason why there's a hike in price
Yes, I prefer online shopping to physical shopping, both for the lower prices and the ease with which it can be reached and purchased. Given that online products are discounted and can be delivered to wherever you are, it is a more convenient option to choose over physical shopping, which is more stressful and also more expensive in the market.
That's the major advantage online has over physical, especially for the fact that you can get some items cheaper online

The sizing of customer with different price is very rampant, especially now thst we have the influence of Yahoo guys. There's a way you'll dress, they'll give high a Yahoo boy's price🤣.
As you said, it depends on the stuff to be purchased. The waiting/delivery period puts me off always too
