Deception Strength Steal Deck
Intro
I started off the week messing around with decks. I didn't rush out and buy $200 worth of packs, nor did I buy the expensive OP cards, so this week I figured I'd be losing a lot anyway. I played whatever god/deck I felt like (and lost a lot), but I figured I'd share the Deception deck I'm 5-0 with. Mainly because you can buy all the MJ cards for super cheap.
Edit: final stats were 8/10, but those first 5 games were played in Ethereal Diamond after deranking from Mythic, so I make no claims to dominance with it.

I'm missing a Selfless Guildmate, or I'd be running 2x of those. Not exactly sure what I'd drop, but probably one of the dark knives. So many of our creatures are guild that Selfless Guildmate is basically just a better Dark Knives.
Play Guide
- Always take Distraction god power.
- You want the cheap strength reducing cards to open.
- Switch Duelists are great except in the mirror. They reduce their strength and then it dies on your turn.
The deck is strong enough that it pretty much runs itself. If you are opening, you're wanting to play hidden creatures followed up on your second turn with strength reducers that let you either
- make favorable trades or
- ignore them and go face
With Light and Nature, it's probably best to keep their board clear due to the large number of buffs. Just grind them down. Landing Dark Knives on Shadow of Lethenon or Guild Enforcer gives you a really strong advantage against most gods. Just remember that the cats aren't ideal vs magic and nature.
Combos
The deck doesn't need combos. The cards are all strong. However, the combo with munosian is just a really nasty bonus.
In the mirror match I munosian to knock out The Hollow. Just remember Munosian only works on creatures 3 mana or under. Umber Arrow works on anything. They killed your Marcella and have 1/1 deadlies? Use it against them. They have some beefy creatures on board? Lower their health and use them to attack other creatures.
Jinx is a similar idea. It's a lot easier to drop Jinx when all they have are 0/X creatures. Even if you still hide him first turn, you can then lower strengths on the follow up and then your snowball is good to go.
Next, is the cheese/OP cat combo. Nature and Magic will respond easily, but even so, if you can get off even a single hit, that's nice value. You can also force the AOE while you have armored creatures on the board to limit the effectiveness.
This is one I picked up from @meltysquid. Those OP echo creatures? Guild. You'll often have 3-4 guild creatures on board. You can even save up the 1 mana echoes and play them the same turn for guaranteed draw plus their OP effects.
Match History
So far the deck is taking all comers.
Gameplay
Let me start by saying War is not in a happy place, and I want him to get some love. Let me also say: I didn't print these $.10 OP common deception cards. With both of those out of the way, this is a gameplay against War. Strength reduction means War just can't get anything going. Not only that, but you can pretty much ignore 0/x creatures until 4/5/6 mana when their buff cards might show up.
Note my opening. When given the chance, always open with Armor Lurker before Pyramid Warden. As shown here, PW then protects the 3/1 lurker after it attacks. Even against Nature, you draw out the canopy with lurker. In our game, the 0/4 Wild Hog is big sad. Luckily, the pain ends with a quick concede. To my opponent: GG. I tried playing War last weekend. It was terrible.
Conclusion
These echo cards are broken. The echoes are only 1 mana, have really strong effects, and keep your hands full of cards/options. I'm sure they will get nerfed. For this weekend, though, they have ensured I at least get a few packs. I'm not done with my weekend yet, but now I wish I had just started with this deck.
The strength weakening/stealing creatures are so strong. I'm expecting a nerf this week.

This seems to be an interesting option for the future. I think I'll try your deck out later just to get the 30 wins and I hope that these type of deck will be also an option after the nerf.
Thanks for sharing! :)
Awesome card deck @kstreet
