MoonKarts Power Ups - Finish Your Races Early with These
MoonKarts, raw speed and sharp turns are only part of the equation. What really differentiates the winners from the rest is how and when you deploy power ups. These special cards, earned from packs and equipped in your loadout, give you in-race abilities that can turn the tide of a match.

Here’s a breakdown of the core power-ups available at launch, plus insight on when to use each one:
The Arsenal
Lunar Glide - Leaves behind a slick oil trail. Anyone driving over it will lose control, potentially spinning out. Best used in tight corners or narrow passages—places where even small disruptions create big chaos.
Celestial Thrust - Gives you a temporary speed burst. Ideal for overtaking rivals or pulling back from behind. Using this on long straights or right before boost zones can maximize its effect.
Moonfire Missile - A projectile-based attack: lock on, fire, and disable an opponent. Accuracy and timing matter—missing wastes it, hitting gives you control or space.
Cosmic Disruptor - Emits an electromagnetic pulse that temporarily handicaps nearby opponents. Great in crowded sections or when opponents bunch up. Triggering this just before a corner or bottleneck magnifies its value.
Lunar Bolt - Summons lightning striking a specific target, slowing them down. Use when you’ve identified a key rival or want to disrupt someone making a push. It’s especially powerful when used just before they take advantage of a boost or are in a vulnerable position.
Lunar Barrier - Your defensive shield. Grants temporary invincibility from collisions and other power ups. It’s the countermeasure—use it reactively or preemptively when you anticipate attacks like Moonfire Missile or Disruptor. Keep some room to maneuver, since timing here is everything.

Tactical Tips From the Track
Balance offense and defense. It’s tempting to load up on attack-type power ups, but without a Barrier or some way to counter opponents, you’ll often be caught off-guard.
Know the track. Long straightaways favor speed boosts; twisty, narrow sections magnify the value of traps like Lunar Glide or area effects like Cosmic Disruptor.
Observe opponents. If several rivals are clustered ahead, delaying your offensive until they bunch up lets you hit multiple targets. Conversely, if you’re being targeted often, holding onto defensive power ups pays dividends.
