For this week, we'll meet the Blackmoor Wild Elf, magic attack unit armed with a set of strong abilities like Camouflage, Amplify and Cripple. But beware, for behind her dazzling displays of power lies a delicate balance between strength and vulnerability. Let's see if we can harness her strengths over her weaknesses to our advantage or is that weakness too much to bear.

Lore

The wild elves of Blackmoor Basin are a reclusive and insular lot, preferring the company of fey and beasts over that of the more “civilized” splinters.
But with the legions of Chaos encroaching on their borders and the dragons of Mount Redwyrm circling above, isolationism may no longer be an option.

This card is soulbound. It is unable to be transferred, rented/delegated, burned, bought or sold until the cards go out of print. It is tied to the account that has earned it through gameplay/chests. Gladiator cards are also Soulbound.

Card Stats

Strong damage and low health. This is what I would say if I have to summarize the stats of Blackmoor Elf. Her main weakness can be hidden though through that Camouflage that she gains starting at level 1.

Card Effects

Camouflage

This Unit cannot be targeted for attacks unless it's in the first position

Due to her low health, Camouflage is the best ability she can have. I really like using her because of this and allows me to have a very safe magic attack unit until the end of the battle.

Amplify

Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy units by 1

In my opinion, Amplify only gets value when you have summoners that complements with this. A good example is Mylor Crowling giving your team the Thorns ability. Amplify can increase this damage by 1 and since Blackmoor Wild Elf has Camouflage, you can be sure that that extra damage will be on your team for quite a while.

Cripple

Each time an enemy is hit by a Unit with Cripple it loses one max health

While it doesn't complement with anything, it's still a good ability especially for mirror matches. Earth Element has a lot of healing abilities and Cripple can be used to control the heal amount to a certain degree.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths
Having a magic attack combined with Camouflage is very strong. She's like Djinn Biljka in a sense but lower rarity. Blackmoor Wild Elf is really strong because of those combination and the fact that Obsidian can increase this potential further.

Weaknesses
Blackmoor Wild Elf's weakness is clearly her health and mana. While she has Camouflage, this doesn't protect her from damage from abilities like Blast or Magic Reflect.

When To Use

Equalizer

The initial Health of all Units is equal to that of the Units on either team with the highest base Health.

Since this rule set can increase the health of all monsters, then this would fix the main weakness that Blackmoor Wild Elf has.

Wands Out

Only units with magic attacks may be used.

She has strong damage and you would always want her to be in your Earth team especially if in Wands Out Rule Set where only magic attacks can be used.

Taking Sides

Neutral Units may not be used in battles.

Since she is an Earth unit, then this rule set makes sense. I always use her whenever I use Obsidian especially in Taking Sides rule set.

When Not To Use

Counterspell

All units receive the Magic Reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that attack with magic receive damage back.

Like I mentioned, Camouflage cannot protect her from damage but only the target of attack. Magic Reflect can always damage her and due to the increased attack from Obsidian, she also would take 2 damage every attack.

Explosive Weaponry

All Units have the Blast ability.

With combine Sneak and Blast, she would get damaged and will die very quickly. Basically, any rule set that can damage her without attacking her directly is bad.

Noxious Fumes

All Units start the battle Poisoned.

Early levels, Blackmoor Wild Elf only had 2 health which means she only takes 1 round during this rule set and she dies.

I had huge advantage in health and damage in this battle. Due to my Triage, I was able to delay the death of my Mycelic Slipspawn for so long while abusing the magic attacks from the Earth Team. Blackmoor Wild Elf's huge 3 magic attack surely helped a lot to quickly take out the enemies in this battle.

Final Thoughts

Blackmoor Wild Elf is a strong addition to Earth Element. With her strong magical attacks, you can be sure to have that advantage you needed each battle.

As long as you avoid using her in rule sets that can damage her, you will be able to harness her incredible damage for free.

Make sure to keep getting that Common pack in the Glint Shop to increase her health and reduce that weakness that she bears.
