Carnage Titan is a unit I use once in a while. He is a strong melee Legendary Unit from Dragon Element. It brings strong melee attacks to the team, durable armor and versatile abilities to any battles. I like him because of his consistent damage that is is futhermore supported by the Double Strike.

Lore

He was called Holicrai the Magnificent and without doubt, he was the finest Gloridax guardian in the history of the land. He was as feared as some of the dragons that lived on Dragon's Roost. The people of Draykh-Nahka would sing songs about him, and the ancient scholars would say that the sagas told about him didn't do him justice. When he passed to the other side, they took his armor and displayed it in the Warrior's Hall, deep within the Centrum. His bones were laid to rest in the Guardian's Chapel on the far side of the city, a shrine open to the people so they might pay their respects for all he had done.
It cost Morloth, the crazed tinker, not a single penny to acquire the armor. The Chaos Legion had brought it to him, together with a long, thick bone from the chapel's tomb – probably the femur he guessed. He didn't ask them how they'd come by it, and the strange man that conveyed the delivery was most peculiar indeed. He wore a long black coat and top hat, with a bizarre beaked mask and shimmering green amulet about his neck, carrying a lantern that pierced the night. He spoke to himself as much as he did to Morloth, and by the end of their conversation, the tinker wasn't sure who he was more afraid of, the entire Chaos Legion that had descended upon the land, or this one strange man that was standing before him.

Buy and Rental Costs

Carnage Titan's buy price is currently $5.88 which is cheap for a Legendary unit. This makes it a good option for players looking for a high quality unit without overspending. It's a good unit for casuals as well since you'll get a strong unit without spending too much.

For those who doesn't want to buy, Carnage Titan has a rent price of 3.86 DEC per day so you can use him temporarily. This low rent cost is especially beneficial for players preparing for tournaments or just wanting a quick boost for their specific battles.

Card Stats

Carnage Titan is a strong unit. His stats are really good, high damage, armor and health. The only complain I can say is that his mana costs quite a bit for an 8 health unit without Void. Other than that, he's a really strong unit.

Card Effects

Reach

Melee attack Units with the Reach ability may attack from the second position on the team

This ability is very good because it allows Carnage Titan to attack from a safer position. It keeps Carnage Titan survive longer while contributing high melee attacks.

Double Strike

Unit attacks twice each round.

Double Strike is a great ability because Carnage Titan can attack twice per round increasing the team's total damage output. This makes Carnage Titan a valuable high damage Unit that can quickly eliminate the enemy's front line.

Shield

Reduced damage from Melee and Ranged attacks

Shield is very strong because it reduces melee and ranged damage. It increases Carnage Titan’s capability to survive in battles. This also makes him a strong extra tank to use in case the main front line dies.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Strengths
Carnage Titan has high armor and health making it a tough Unit to take down. Its Double Strike ensures strong offensive power while Shield makes it hard to weaken with melee and ranged attacks. These strengths make it a good choice for battles needing both tankiness and damage.

Weaknesses
Carnage Titan has high 11 mana which is a problem on low mana battles. It also cannot be a main tank despite having Shield because of how much it would be a waste if he dies early.

When To Use

Up Close & Personal

Only Units with Melee attack may be used in battles.

Up Close & Personal only allows melee attackers. This is good for Carnage Titan because he has Shield which halves all melee attacks that he takes.

Heavy Metal

You can only summon armored units.

This rule set requires the units to have armor which fits Carnage Titan.  Carnage Titan is a hard hitting strong unit and has armor perfect for this rule set.

Super Sneak

All Melee attack Units have the Sneak ability.

Carnage Titan works well here because it can block Sneak attackers with its high armor and Shield while dealing its own melee damage. Double Strike makes it even more effective at taking down enemy Units quickly.

When Not To Use

Briar Patch

All units receive the Thorns ability at the start of the battle. Enemy units that use melee attacks receive damage back.

This rule set is bad for Carnage Titan because of its Double Strike and melee attacks. It will take Thorns damage twice every time it attacks which can make it lose health quickly. Carnage Titan's Shield can reduce the Thorns damage but it requires your Carnage Titan to be on high level for it to use this ability.

Equal Opportunity

All Units have the Opportunity ability.

This rule set is not good for Carnage Titan because it has high health. Opponent Units with Opportunity will not focus on it and avoid him reducing his function as a secondary tank.

Blood and Sunder

All units have Corrosive Ward.

Blood and Sunder Rule Set: This rule set is bad because it removes armor every attack which is one of Carnage Titan's main strengths. As a melee Unit with Double Strike, it would remove his armor once per hit as well.

Since every unit I have has Camouflage, the enemy can only target the ones from the front. This means his melee focused attacks will need to go through Djinn Chwala's Thorns and Carnage Titan's Shield which made this battle really easy as I directly counter their team composition.

Final Thoughts

Carnage Titan is a Legendary Unit from Dragon Element that excels in melee battles. Its abilities like Reach, Double Strike and Shield make it really strong in both doing and surviving damage. I think players often find him useful in rule sets that focus on melee like Up Close & Personal but he's also good on any normal battles if you can afford the mana he needs.

If you are to use Dragon team, Carnage Titan is one unit you must have in your lineup. He's not expensive to rent so even if he cannot be used most of the time, it's still a good practice to keep him saved for when you can use him in those battles.
