"How to Create NFT Cut-Paper Art"
I created new NFT art for the NFT Showroom the other day. I wrote about Minting Artwork on the NFT Showroom before. I still feel a little bit nervous minting. However, it's fun to create it. Today, I am going to show you the process to create a cut-paper art digital version for NFTs.
"切り絵NFTができるまで"
新しいNFTを作成しました。以前 NFT Showroom にアート作品をミンティングするという記事を書きました。いまだにミンティングするのは緊張しますが、楽しい作業です。今日は切り絵のNFTを作成する過程について書きたいと思います。

This image is the main page for the NFT showroom. When you create an NFT, your art is going to show up on the front page of the Freshly Tokenized Art section. My art is on the left in this image.
これはNFT Showroom のメインページです。NFTを作成するとFreshly Tokenized Art というところに作品がアップされます。わたしの作品は左側に出ています。
This is my original cut-paper artwork. I used black paper. The title is "Mujou-Impermanence". "Mujou (無常)"is one of the Buddhist concepts. In short, "Mujou(無常)" means all things arise, change, or perish and they are not permanent. Also, "Mujou(無常)" means our life is ephemeral. The lady who is standing at the gate, she is just about to leave this Yukaku. She is watching cherry blossoms fully bloom. I wanted to express all things are impermanent through this cut-paper art.
これは元になった切り絵です。黒の紙を使いました。タイトルは"Mujou-Impermanence"です。”無常”とは、短く言うと一切のものは、生じたり変化したり滅したりして、常住ではないという仏教の概念です。また、人の世がはかないこと。を表す言葉でもあります。門のところにたたずんでいる女性は、この遊郭を旅立つところです。彼女は満開に咲いた桜の花を見ています。すべてのものは無常だということを切り絵で表現したかったのです。

I used sunset pink and yellow sky acrylic paint which is my previous artwork. I started putting thin color paper or origami paper behind the cut-paper artwork. I simply used glue.
以前作成したピンクと黄色の夕焼けを描いたアクリル画を背景にします。カラフルな色紙や折り紙を使って切り絵に色を入れました。のり付けをしていきます。
I attached all colors behind the cut-paper art. Some colors are see-through.
切り絵の裏からすべての色を貼り終わりました。ところどころの色は透けて見える素材です。
I attached the cut-paper art to the background. Actually, it is removable. I can reuse the background for other artwork.
背景に切り絵を貼りました。この切り絵は取り外し可能で、背景は別の切り絵にも再利用可能です。
I decided to use my original sketch white paper for digital coloring. However, I accidentally cut some parts when I was creating cut-paper artwork. Also, some parts are not straight enough. I used MediBang to color it.
切り絵を作ったときのデッサンの白い紙をデジタルで色付けをすることにしました。所々切ってしまったところや、真っ直ぐではないところもあります。MediBangを使って色を入れていきます。
There are useful tools to color straight especially for the buildings or gates. It's a long process to color everything. I used different types of brushes. I used the text for the curtains on the buildings in Japanese. This work is also very easy.
建物や門などを真っ直ぐ色づけをするのにとても便利なツールです。全て色づけするのにはけっこうな時間がかかります。様々なブラシを使用して色付けしていきます。建物の入り口にかかっているのれんに日本語で文字を入れましたが、この作業もツールを使ってわりと簡単にできます。
Finally, I completed the coloring. After this, I made a GIF using a different app which created a GIF image through this digital image.
やっと完成です。この後別のアプリを使ってGIFイメージを作成しました。
