Soulkeep is a game of spells and towers—and I mention spells before towers for a reason. That’s what I’m focusing on today. Spells in Soulkeep are special because they can both attack and defend, which is exactly what you need on your journey to protect the gate.

If you want to become a true Soulkeeper, mastering spells is essential. You need to understand how to use them effectively and know the differences between each one. You can compare their stats in the market to get a better idea of their strengths and roles.

But there's another important aspect you need to consider: mana. Every spell costs mana to use. For example, Gear Grease costs 15 mana, and Kansas Twist costs 40 mana—a total of 55 mana for two spells that only last a single wave.

So, you need to ask yourself: Is it worth spending that much mana on two temporary spells, or would it be better to use a tower that stays in play for the whole battle?

Take Stickybomb and Cracklesnap—instead of using both, you might consider using Card Sharp as a more efficient alternative. In many cases, placing one tower is better—unless you have plenty of mana or you're nearing the final waves, where going all-in might make sense.
