Honestly, I've been doing this even before this challenge came up but this is the only time I became aware that I've been doing these combo. Abusing Blast and Scattershot is a really good combination of removing the opponent's Divine Shield since it strikes multiple opponents at once. Another is using Double Strike but I chose this one since this is a more reliable one than the other.
In any case, this is a good chance of getting Chaos Dragon under the spotlight. Also, there's another realization about Splinterlands that I've only realized just now which I would discuss later. For now, please enjoy this battle review.

You can get a level 1 Djinn Oshannus for $0.80. While this looks good for new players, this is very bad overall. I feel like the Devs made a mistake of over producing Chaos Legion cards which led to having even the legendary cards close to no value. The common cost of a level 1 legendary card is $20. You can see this on Camilla Sungazer, and other legendary monsters as well. However, for Djinn Oshannus, it's so bad that even a level 3 would only cost you $4.60.
I really hope land would come out soon so these prices would go up when people decided to burn their cards for DEC. While that doesn't happen yet, allow me to abuse and purchase a few of these useful legendaries to save me money in the future.

Rentals is also currently at a low point. You can rent a level 1 for 0.44 DEC per day up to 4.75 DEC per day for a max level. My average rental price for a level 1 legendary is 10 DEC per day and a level 2 is 20 DEC per day. Having Djinn Oshannus's max copy at only 4.75 DEC is very concerning in my opinion. Actually, you can rent a max level for lower. I think I've seen a max copy for rental for less than 2.50 DEC per day which is very bad. Either players stopped playing and just rented their cards or there's too many supplies and there's low demand for this specific card which is baffling as Djinn Oshannus is one of the best cards for Water Splinter.

You can get a Chaos Dragon for $3.58 for a level 1, $10.04 for a level 2, and $27 for a level 4. Like what I've said, this is very low based on the average price I am using. This is basically a gimme at this price. I'm both happysince I can now purchase cards I want for low price and sad because it feels like Splinterlands is dying right before my eyes.

You can rent a Chaos Dragon for 2.50 DEC per day for level 1 and 7.70 DEC per day for a level 2 and 9.59 DEC per day for level 4. I always rent this nowadays because of how cheap it is. Very good on Bronze and Silver. Chaos Dragon can actually solo carry some games which is amazing.

Djinn Oshannus can act as a main or secondary tank. He has high health of 10, Speed of 5 and magic damage of 2 for 8 mana cost. He also has a power spike at max level which gives him extra damage at level 4.

At level 1 Void is unlocked. Monsters with Void ability halves any magic damage it take rounded up. Any damage halved less than 1 is blocked and negated. Very strong especially when combined with Bortus Summoner.

At level 2 Phase is unlocked. Monsters with Phase allows Djinn Oshannus to dodge any magic damage as if they are melee or range damage type. The calculations are the same for when the damage is a melee or range.

At level 3 Forcefield is unlocked. Monsters with Forcefield changes all damage to 1 if the damage goes past 5. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience using this ability to know if this is compatible with Void and will cancel the damage if the damage is above 5.
Stats | Chaos Dragon

ππ₯π¬π±π¬ π£π―π¬πͺ πͺπΆ πππ©π¦π«π±π’π―π©ππ«π‘π° ππ π π¬π²π«π±.
Chaos Dragon may be costly in terms of mana cost. You need 14 mana cost to use him in the battle but once you do, he is very worth it. He has 3 magic damage, 2 speed, 10 health and 4 armor. You can use him to block Sneak monsters. Since most Sneak monster are melee, there's high chance they would miss on their attacks due to the combination of Chaos Dragon's 3 Speed and Flying ability.
At level 1 Flying and Scattershot are unlocked.

Flying increases the evasion chance of the monster against other non-flying monsters by 25%. It's the same as having the monster an extra 2-3 speed against non-flying monsters.

Scattershot might look useless but it's actually really strong once you've unlocked the next level of this monster. Scattershot changes the attack priority to random. This ability bypasses Taunt ability and any other targetting modifiers. If a monster has both Opportunity and Scattershot abilities, since Scattershot is always the priority, the attack will always be random.

At level 2 Blast is unlocked. Monster with Blast inflicts damage to both front and back of the main target. This is very strong when combined with other target modifying abilities. It is extremely strong when combined with Scattershot due to its ability to bypass Taunt. Your opponent won't know where your attack would strike and having Taunt is useless as this may still damage those low health monsters.
Blast damage also takes the properties of the original damage type. Since Chaos Dragon has magic damage, it would also inflict magic damage for the blast damage. That means the blast damage can never miss and will always pass through armor. Lastly, the Blast damage is half of the original damage rounded up. Since Chaos Dragon's base damage is 3, the blast damage will be two and each attack, you will have a chance to inflict up to 7 damage on opponent's team, 3 on the main target and 2 on each side.

At level 3 Blind is unlocked. Monsters with Blind ability has a chance of inflicting Blinded status to the opponent. Blinded opponent has 25% chance to miss their attacks unless they have magic damage

Summoner: Quix the Devious: Decreases opponent's ranged damage and speed by 1. Very useful since I want my monster to attack first hoping
- Hardy Stonefish: A 1 mana cost monster with extra armor. Takes at least 2 hits to kill and extra health for Scavenger.
- Kra'ar Xoc: 1 mana cost monster with Scavenger ability that allows him to gain max health from any monster that dies.
- Djinn Oshannus: Has 2 magic damage, 10 health, 5 speed and Void. The primary tank for this game. I placed him in the middle since he has magic damage that can attack from any position. Think of the first two monsters as Djinn Oshannus's extra health.
- Venari Marksrat: 3 mana cost monster with Martyr ability that increases the stats of ally monsters in front and back of him when he dies. I will discuss the position later but this is very calculated.
- Chaos Dragon: My other boss monster. Has Flying, Scattershot and Blast abilities that complements with removing the opponent's Divine Shield.
αͺIαͺ YOαα αTαα©TEGY α―OαKEαͺ?
Yes. There are three layers in this strategy. I'll try to explain each one as much as I can.
Block and Blast: Using two of my boss monsters, Djinn Oshannus and Chaos Dragon, I used Djinn Oshannus as my main tank while Chaos Dragon will wreak havoc on the opponent's back row. This is a modified combo of the one I used before changing Chain Golem to Djinn Oshannus.
Martyr Positioning: Since the available splinters are only Dragon and Water, I made a call that the opponent would use Deeplurker, a monster with Opportunity ability that prioritizes lowest health monsters as attack target. This card is very strong so I assume the opponent would use it. Unfortunately for them, I used it to my advantage and placed Venari Marksrat between my two bosses whom would be damaging the opponent's team.
Blast vs. Divine Shield: Divine Shield blocks one instance of damage. Since Chaos Dragon has Blast ability, It would damage 2-3 monsters per round. That means every round, a monster will be forced to get damage and remove their Divine Shield and dies. Blast is very strong on countering the Divine shield as it can remove the other's Divine Shield while damaging other monsters and that saves you a round of inflicting damage to the opponent.
α―αΌα©T α―Iαͺαͺ YOα TαY αͺIα΄α΄EαEαTαͺY αEαT TIα°E?
The only thing I would change here is adding a monster called Torrent Fiend on the front. Torrent Fiend is a 0 mana cost legendary monster for Water Splinter. All Splinters have their share of 0 mana cost cards except for Dragon. These monsters's role is to absorb damage, kind of like a one time shield. However, in this battle, not only they would get Divine Shield from the rule of combat allowing them to block two damage but they also serve as additional health for Kra'ar Xoc's Scavenge ability.
π«π πππ ππππ Djinn Oshannus and Chaos Dragon ? πΎππ ππ πΎππ πππ?
Yes. Chaos Dragon is my ticket for getting through Bronze and Silver. He has high damage and at level 2, has a Blast ability that cuts through the opponent's team. Since Chaos Dragon also has Scattershot ability changing the attack target to random, he is unaffected by Taunt ability and other target changing abilities from other rules of combat since Scattershot has the most priority among them. If a range monster has both Opportunity (change attack to opponent's lowest health monster) and Scattershot (change attack to random opponent), the attack will always be Scattershot or random.
Kra'ar Xoc, on the other hand, is a strong monster that no one uses. He is a beast especially on low mana fights. A 1 mana cost monster with the ability to increase its health for every monster that dies on the board, that's absurd. If there's no resurrection or rebirth, a scavenger monster can increase its health up to 10 (5 from each side) boosting his health at level 2 from 3 to 13. I don't think I need to explain how ridiculous is a 1 mana cost monster with 13 health.
