Addressing Some Concerns...

Introduction:
I don't normally do this and I don't want to do things like this because some might interpret it wrongly. However, I think I have a feeling that I have to do so because if not, I might get banned or blacklisted on posting in Splinterlands contests, which is a big part of the reason why I can enjoy the game itself without putting a lot of money in.

Why am I using level 1 cards in some of my posts?
There are a few reasons, to be honest. I will try to explain as detailed as I can without making it boring.
First Reason:
I'm a bronze player and the level of the cards are dictated by the summoner level I use. If I use a common, rare level 1 summoner, the max monster I can play is level 1 as well.

Epic summoners and Legendaries work a bit differently. Level 1 Epic summoner allows you to play level 2 commons but the rest are level 1s.
For Legendaries, level 1 legendaries allow you to play level 3 commons, level 2 rares, level 2 epics and level 1 legendaries.

You may see me using level 1 monsters on some but not all. A good example would be my post for tomorrow where you see me using almost maxed up monsters. I had this great battle from Life Splinters from last week that I wanted to share. It's actually ready as of this moment but I'm waiting to post it for tomorrow for the Share Your Battle contest.
Second Reason:
Some of my posts features cards that don't need or I can't use a higher leveled monster. Most of them would be legendary cards, like The Kraken, Cornealus, Coreaul Lurker and the likes. Even if I rent higher leveled cards of legendaries, I can't use them because I'm in Bronze division.
Some of them, I don't see the need of using higher leveled cards so I don't rent it. For example, on my Aquatus x Kraken post, I don't use higher levels of the support monsters because it wouldn't do anything. Increasing the life of Scavo Hireling or Merdaali Guardian wouldn't help because every attack is being taken by The Kraken with his Taunt ability. But I used a level 2 King Crustacean because it gives him an extra range damage or the ability to attack an opponent.
On some of the cases, like in some of my Scarred Llama Mage x Xenith Monk battles, I intentionally don't use higher leveled monsters except for Xenith Monk because there's a possibility that my Xenith Monk on the back row would get eliminated first if my opponents use a lot of sneaks and opportunity.
Third Reason:
I'm in Bronze. I can get to 1500 rating to 1700 so I can definitely play Silver if I want to. I voluntarily stay or am staying in Bronze because of the rewards changes.

As you can see, Bronze league aren't affected in this change. If I play in Silver, my cards MUST have a minimum level of 3 commons, 2 rares, 2 epics and 1 legendaries aka, I need to have maxed out bronze level in order to not get any rewards penalties.
I've once tried playing in Silver a few seasons back, I ended up getting less than 10 chest, no reward monster cards. But sticking in Bronze, my season rewards are always 50+ loot boxes. This means, even if the chance of getting cards in bronze is lower, since I get higher number of reward boxes, the chance of me getting cards is also higher.
I made a post about this a few months ago that you can see here.

Why don't I buy higher leveled cards to compete in Silver instead?
I totally agree. However, it's not that I don't buy cards. I buy those that I think I would need.
As you can see in my Peakmonsters reward page, I do buy some. I just don't buy a lot.
I want to gradually increase my collection but I can't do it all at once especially with this crypto drop. If someone would sponsor me cards so I could compete in higher league, I would do so. (wink wink) Otherwise, I can only do it at few increments.
My ongoing gold collection.

When will you see me compete in leagues higher than Bronze?
While I can't give an exact timeline, I would say that I won't stick to bronze until the end of time. Once I gather good cards that would allow me to play with little to no rewards penalty, then I would gladly play Silver, or maybe more.
There's a lot of stuff I want to try on higher level. Some of them are the max leveled Gelatinous Cube with self heal or a new improved Kraken build with a bunch of Demoralize, Headwinds and Silence abilities.

Why not rent to Silver?
It's expensive. I spend around 200-300 DEC renting in Bronze per week.
If I bump up to Silver, that means I need to spend probably double or triple the amount per week. Remember, you need a minimum card level in order to not get any penalties for playing in Silver.
Also, even if I get to that "minimum", my opponents would probably have maxed out silver leveled cards which gives me a huge disadvantage. I don't see the reason to rush playing in silver if I would spend more while being in a situation where you have more disadvantages.
If I continue to play in bronze, I have the advantage for having some of the higher leveled cards than my opponent.

Any future changes?
I've actually started earlier this week or last week, specifically, December 29, 2022. Every week, I would put a few of my earnings to the account where I play Splinterlands, @konaqua122 account.
I accidentally made this account at the start when I registered to ecency first, then bought the spellbook. So I'm kind of want to use it as my temporary bank.
Last time, I transferred 3 hive which should be around $1 when I transferred it. This week, I may add more in addition to that depending on my rewards for this week.
My main goal is to meet a minimum card pool level with the cards I normally use, then jump to Silver. Then once I'm in Silver, repeat it again to get to Gold.
I hope I can get to Silver during this year, then Gold by next year.
Again, the purpose of this post is not to rant but to explain. I know it's sus that I kept playing low leveled cards but if I rent EVERYTHING, I would probably spend more than I earn and Splinterlands is a #playtoearn not #paytoplay kind of game.
Lastly, since I'm already here, a kind of request for the devs to remove the card penalties for not being able to play a minimum cap in Silver or Gold or higher but rather implement a reward system "IF" you're playing the max leveled cap for that league.
For example, if I play level 2 commons on Silver, I don't get any penalties but if I play level 5 commons in silver, I get 5% bonus focus point if I get a win.
