Just Good cards are not enough to win your Splinterlands Battles

I greet you specially. It's the very early hours of Friday. Thank God, the weekend is here, so we can have some rest and catch more fun. More of my fun time is with the splinterlands and I am happy about that.

Losing about Six Splinterlands battle consecutively almost caused me an heartache. I could beat my chest that I have read wide and was actually trying to follow up with selecting cards with great stats and abilities but after the consecutive losses, I realized where I failed.

Just Good cards are not enough

How the above statement would have sounded awkward in my ears days ago. Why shouldn't my good cards with great stats and ratings not help me win battle? I missed what I call strategy.

The first guide overview on battles you find in the Splinterlands website require that a player does these things:
1 - REVIEW COMBAT RULES
2 - MAKE YOUR TEAM
3 - BATTLE

For a new player who is still in the lowest league, the no. 1 guide is always not a thing to worry as the the combat rules would always allow for any type of splinter to be used. At least for all the battles I have fought, the rules have not changed.

Just one thing would always change in that page as below- the manna cap (the max power of the team). That is the limit of card manna that you can select for your fight.

I have come to discover that there is a lot of work than we envisage in the "MAKE YOUR TEAM" stage. This happens to be the most difficult aspect of the game especially as you have some time to beat in doing that.

Making you team starts with select a Summoner. I had always concentrated in looking out for the better summoner. This is quite very important as the summoner you select will determine the level and type of units available to you. Getting it wrong would lead to selecting wrong units. However, it could be quite easy to choose a better sumooner.

Your Unit Positioning is Key

I have learnt in life that positioning really matters when it comes to having access to resources, whether natural or artificial. However, I never really thought that did matter in the splinterlands game. The line Now, position your units based on their stats and abilities. as written in the step guide can look so simple, but here is where it all matters.

The best of the unit abilities depend a lot on their position. Placing a unit at a wrong position can pose a great danger to your battle deck. Some units can better attack when they are the rear or at the second position.

Understanding the battlefield is crucial to fitting the right strategy. Indeed, it is a full lesson on its one. The team had said that **To be successful in battle you have to understand the terrain.

The battlefield consists of two rows and six positions. The strength of your forces depends on how you can utilize these positions and anticipate your opponent.

Losing the above battles were on the account that my nits were wrongly positioned. This was a flaw that my opponents used to collapse my team. I am in for more learning and will right my wrongs. Going all out to observe and learn unit positioning in battles is the next splinterlands goal.
