SPLINTERLANDS SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE (NEW TACTICS, NEW CARDS)
A new season began 5 days ago, and I was so ecstatic to begin so I could finish in Championship league for wild and Diamond league for modern. Things however did not go as planned when I started having back to back losses. At a point it was becoming frustrating and I was wondering what could have been wrong. Even in battles where I was almost certain I had a really good formation of monsters, it was not easy getting a win. It started in the wild league where I had 21 win streak last season with over 75% win rate. This season I have only managed 4 win streak with a 50.7% win rate. After wondering about what I wasn’t getting right for days, I decided to just play modern instead of playing modern and wild league daily, and rewatch all the battles I lost in order to find a clue as to what I wasn’t getting Right.
I did that and discovered my opponents were usually swifter than my monster and even when I had great cards they were usually too slow to act. I took a closer look at my monsters abilities and discovered in the majority of the games, The opponents that beat me had the supply runner on their side. While I was looking for ways to hurt my enemies with more thorns, melee and magic attacks, they were always acting before me. So I decided I was going for a better tactic that would give me both speed and at the same time slow down my opponents. And this increased my win rate giving me a straight 6 win streak until I lost again. I discovered my great formation wasn’t all that formidable afterall.

My Cards
My Opponent Cards
One of the games I played where I was almost certain I had lost, I discovered my opponent who had great cards and I will say even better ones than I had still lost because two of my monsters gave my team speed. I decided to rent some new cards that I have seen my opponents use on me, of which I used one in the battle I will be talking about today. For this particular battle, I started with Djinn Chwala in order to hurt my opponent with thorns from the first position, But my opponent also had the same thing in mind and did the same lol. For the second position I used Carnage Titan for its reach and double strike ability while my opponent used Oshuur Constantia. It’s my first time seeing that card, But i will take a look out for it next season.
On the third position I used Djinn Muirat incase my opponent would use magic attacks so I had a monster with void armor, magic attack, and magic reflect ability. My opponent on the other hand used Adelade Brightwing which I only use as a substitute, but comes in handy when you need to resurrect a monster from the dead. For the fourth position I used Raa which was one of the monsters I newly acquired this season, and it really came in handy with its double strike and shattershot ability plus it can attack from any position. My opponent however used desert dragon which can be very deadly with it’s trample, Piercing and retaliate ability. For fifth and sixth position I intentionally used Supply Runner and Lair the Dark which gave swiftness to all my monsters and My opponent used Jared Scar and Akemis the bear which can both ambush and attack from any position. However, speed got me the much needed win I needed and I think I would be applying it from now until I discover a new tactic.
