Night Flight (Zapfic)

This idea popped into my head today, and I decided to get on and write it as a zapfic.

I wanted to try and experiment with describing a moment in a shorter space of time than I usually would. Originally I was going to go for a 240-character one, but, opted for a 50-word limit, to give myself that stretch more leeway.

That familiar churn of gears, mixed with the splutter of the engine, made for a chorus of noise.

The wind resistance was pretty intense, but not tough enough to discourage a late-night jaunt.

Neon lights blurred together with the blackness in between the buildings, which gave a flickering effect.

I think it went okay.

I aimed for three senses; sound, touch and sight, to paint the picture
