Attention Photographers!

Before minting those NFTs or printing those 40" giclée fine art prints mounted in a museum grade frame made of Italian Mahogany, remember to check for the 4 common "well it's obvious now that I see it" photo issues.

#1
DUST SPOTS
Easy to remove and super obvious in low detail areas like empty sky. A simple heal brush will get rid of it lickity split.

#2
LAZY MASKING

Dodging and burning is a great way to brighten/darken an area. Being overhanded can result in a "halo" or even blown out pixels. Accurate masking is easy in Photoshop these days. Or try and tone down the effect.

#3
HOT PIXELS

A common issue in long exposures. Individual pixels blown out that are glaringly obvious if you do large prints and miss them. Just as easy to get rid of as dust spots.

CLONE STAMP WAS HERE

Trying to remove unwanted areas by cloning over them is fine. Using the same pattern to do it can be worse than what you're hiding. Zoom in and out and see if it stands out. Try and break the pattern if possible. Take different selections when you can.

These are just some very simple things to avoid putting on the block chain or printing and sending to a customer. Always spend a few minutes going over your work at 100-200% zoom and look for anything that you can fix. Better to fix now than out there FOREVER

Great tips. In guilty of all of these when printing, especially the dust spots on the sensor.
