Everything Has Changed.
“Eyes as blue as the skies and face like that of a goddess”, was the description most would use when asked about Sapphire.
She wasn’t just a charmer, but she moreover had the favoring of having a brain and the foremost melodic voice you'd have ever listened.
When she walked into an area, she held her head high because unlike most women who would possess such beauty, Sapphire knew what she had and she was pleased with it.
All her life in her small town, she was treated differently because of her appearance, but that all changed when she left for college.
Her first day in college was what she would describe as a nightmare, the vast majority of the young ladies resembled her and some even looked better, without precedent for her life, she was imperceptible and she would rather avoid it.
She concluded that since she would not be known for her beauty, she needed to sort out one more method for sticking out, this could sound insane to you, however, for Sapphire, her life had spun all of the time around flawlessness, particularly since her folks brought her up in that light.
Her father who was a representative generally needed to show his family positively and Sapphire was his major tool to do this, as far as he was concerned, essentially nothing else had any meaning aside from his seat and that also included her happiness.
You would think being away from him would give her a chance at freedom, but she was at that point customized to that life and made a decent attempt to proceed.
She started attempting various ways of standing out in college, however, nothing worked, and gradually, she fell into depression.
One fateful day, she was walking down the street when she saw a young lady whom she considered to be the most beautiful in class crying on a field, she was tempted to walk away but something pulled her back, and she asked her what was wrong.
The girl went on to tell her how inadequate she was at school and how tired she was of pretending to be perfect, and at that moment, Sapphire realized that she was not alone and she finally understood that nothing was perfect.
She went on after that day with a realization that she didn’t need to be just “eyes as blue as the skies and face like that of a goodness”, she was considerably more than that tag, and everything changed for her.
One thing about life is that we all aren´t perfect. There would be somethin missing in us even when we think everything is okay. We just have to accept the fact that only God is perfect. Beautiful story.
Exactly, perfection is a fallacy and we have to accept ourselves the way we are.
A lot of beautiful people feel this way because most people objectify them. There are more layers to people than a pretty face or blue eyes.
There is way more, I guess most times when people are conventionally good looking, all people care about are their looks.

Sometimes what we need is just that understanding about life that one can never be perfect and the quest for perfection would only bring misery. Sapphire had considered herself perfect but realized she wasn't, even who she thought was perfect had flaws, that understanding set her free....
Exactly, in life no one is perfect and that is alright.
Thank you for reading.
You're welcome and thank you for a beautiful story
Different people facing different challenges in the world. It must have felt good trying to help someone with her kind of problem.
Interesting piece.
Everyone has something they are going through, that's just life.
Thank you for reading.
If we are constantly spending our lives trying to please others or be accepted by others for some specific quality that we possess, we will never really be happy. Seeking perfection is far less important than being true to ourselves, and living authentically. !PIZZA !ALIVE
I had to learn this pretty late which is sad but at least I did, indeed chasing perfection isn't attainable and we would be setting ourselves for failure.
This is a story with a wonderful arc and strong character development. It also incorporates the prompt, perfection, very well. You explain Sapphire's challenge well: how can she overcome the shallow sense of self that she had acquired as a child? Fortunately, she is clever enough to learn from the girl who is crying. It seems Sapphire does have brains indeed.

Thank you so much for reading, I am glad you enjoyed it.
Many times, we try to fit in or meet with the expectations of our environment or those around us that we fail to notice that not all that glitters is gold.
I'm glad she realized that.
Most of us don't live for ourselves but for others, a very sad reality.
Nice story, well written.
It's important to understand that no one is perfect and even if everyone is perfect, we need to learn to love ourselves just the way we are.

Exactly, no one is indeed perfect and everyone has their own flaws.
Thank you for reading.
You're welcome
We must always be ourselves. And please ourselves in the first place. There is no such thing as perfection.

We must always be ourselves indeed because nothing is better.
Thank you for reading.
Such a great story, Sapphire was really lucky she went to the girl if not she wouldn't have been able to save herself.

I'm glad sapphire realized that there is so much more to her than just beauty.
In my opinion outward beauty is overrated but inner beauty is the best.
Inner beauty is very essential, I think a lot of people forget that.
Exactly, nowadays people look at the outward beauty of the person especially girls instead of looking at both the outward and inward beauty and it has lead to many failed relationships.
Oh well, to each their own.
Both are important to different people.
Different people around the world are confronted with a variety of challenges. It must have been good to have attempted to aid someone in her predicament.
An engrossing bit of writing, in my opinion.
Thank you so much, your words mean a lot.
Indeed everyone is going through something but we are usually stuck in what we are going through to see.
