Unbounding Soulbound cards?
I had a blast playing a season in the wild league in Splinterlands last season as you can see what I was doing in
this post
. Last season the wild league was opened up for free so everyone had a chance to play with their new conclave arena cards and see what they were doing.
Now I didn't have any of those cards but I did have a chance to play with my old beta and orb cards and in combination with the guild gladiator cards. Let's say I have never tried so many combinations in my decks and actually this was super fun to do again.
You mighteven say I got the hang of playing some cards here and there again and that reflected. I reached silver 1 league with sniffing coming back to gold again but that smell disappeared as fast as that they went.
People had decent cards in silver and were using them like pros and sometimes my whole team would be gone with me not even having a chance to slash some opponents cards.
Rewards!!
I also got some decent glint rewards and this was the first time that I had ever saved up the glint to buy a decent reward card from the shop.
So for 35.000 glint I had the option on getting a legendary card and that has a 2% chance of making it a gold foil. Slapping a potion on there and boom...there it was
My first legendary gold reward card and 'sergeant grauzral' is actually a really nice one with opportunity, blast ald also some immunity for the cheap price of one 6 manna. I call that a card that I would want to play from somewhere in the backline.
But must fun on this one...I got an actually cool card from just playing the game, and that is really nice again!
Now, let's be realistic on what these cards currently can do because soulbound cards have their boundaries on that. Of course I can fumble around and play with this card, but first I have to see how much I even will be playing again since modern league is the only place I want to head back into. (still not paying the 2000 dec per season which is 8 hive, my rentals don't even make that neither does the production of my land)
But I also saw that this card has a staggering 12.500 production points on land, so that will surely be the thing I will use it one, pimping the grain factory for a good one.
When you look at my current setting on the grain factory here below, you can see this will be a tremendous enhancement and grain is never a bad thing to have!
Adding a 12.500 production card to there will seem like a very decent thing to do actually which will give my land a big boost even though I will totally need more DEC for this.
Unbounding the card?
But look carefully in the image down below here, this was new information for me. There is an option to unbound the card and making it transferrable to others and even sell it on the market.
I had no idea that this was possible on these kinds of cards but this is interesting to know. However, this comes with a seriously hefty price to it of 250.000 DEC which comes back to 996 (!!!!) Hive or about 200 bucks in price to do that. SAY WHUT!

Now I will be fair to share this card of naturally if anyone wants to get their hands on this card. If you pay the Unbounding fee of the DEC and then offer a serious price for this card, I will let you buy it and enjoy this card with this crazy production on there!
But otherwise....no unbounding on this one and just sticking it into the land.
For me the biggest surprise is that Unbounding is a feature. I guess if Splinterlands will have the influx of players and collectors we are all hoping for, that is when these kinds of actions will take place.
PS: Im trying to put this fresh card in my land. No ides why it isn't showing up in the list of possible PP workers. Any idea why? will this be when the cards is 3 days old?

Unless things have changed you need to unlock it to stake it, and with that outrageous price, it ain't worth it.
Yeah im starting to see that. The 12.500 PP dont even mean make sense then. Soulbound is no winner to me as yet honestly
Soulbound sucks, and is one of the reasons I stopped playing.
I kind of wrote exactly about this in my last Splinterlands scorecard report. 250K is so much! If you look at the market, there is not a single gold legendary for sale because I'm sure no one wants to gamble on paying 250K DEC if no else then wants to buy that card.
My understanding (and I might be wrong) is that when the Rebellion Reward cards are stopped, the Unbind modifier will drop from the current X20 (you can see that at the top of your screenshot) to X10... and then it rises 1% every month for 5 months, then it stays at 15% for 18 months.
I'll be very curious to see if people Unbind the gold legendary cards at X10 or if that's still too expensive.
I think the reason that the Unbind cost is so high is because so many bots were just continuously dumping reward cards on the market and tanking the market.
Okay I had no idea, and also interesting that you cant find that unbinding equation anywhere in the faq of splinterlands itself. How can other players find these things hahaha
I get that this is because of the selling of the cards, but I just want to use the card on my land and seemingly you also need to unbind it to do this... Interesting
Yeah, I only know that equation because someone told me... I haven't been able to find it written anywhere either.
