'No battles found' | My current Splinterlands status
It already feels like a super long time ago since I have done a lot of active things playing Splinterlands. As in....the last time since I have played a game or have competed in a brawl feels like months ago.
It is since the rewards chests went over into Glint rewards that have made me loose interested. Not entirely fair, because with Glint rewards you can also still 'buy' chests and get cards out of it. But already the whole change where reward cards because non tradeble was the beginning of the where I started to drop out for a bit.

Land
And it is such a bummer, because with the whole live going of land months ago...that is where the momentum should have come back for me for a bit.
At the moment land my land is just doing land and I am not doing a lot with it as you can see.
I only have one plot of land which I shift in between hardvesting grain and then from that grain I harvest SPS, then harvest grain again and then harvest research. And still we have no idea what research will be doing, but hey...since everything is worth nearly nothing....It never hurts to take a chance on it right?
Also the current price of SPS harvesting is also not really worth it.
On the other hand.... 28 Hive for 1000 SPS for actually doing nothing to get it. With the current Hive price, it doesn't seem to make sense. But when Hive starts to rise again.... Heck, that is not even a bad deal for doing nothing and harvesting once a week.
General interest
For me the whole idea is now that my general interest in Splinterlands is just a bit low. The game is not really interesting because of the rewards. And before the rental market was very much alive so it made sense to take a peek on renting out your most valuable cards.
I am still doing this with Splex.gg but with a revenue of literally 3 DEC per day, this ain't really about the benjamins at the moment anymore.
That is a bit of the deal...before it was about gaming and making a profit with it. Now it is about gaming, but the game has so many side things going on while the game has lost a bit of my interest.
Which is totally a bummer. I used to love playing Splinterlands and I have been doing so since 2019.
On the other hand....
Maybe it is just me and my lack of interest at the moment for these kinds of things. Or are you currently experience the same?
for me it was some time ago when for some weird and unexplained reason i got on a sanctioned country list or something like that and have to use vpn to access the game. at the end i was not playing a lot but i did spend some time every few days.
turning vpn on my shitty internet (to make it even more shitty) just for splinterlands felt like a chore, i didn't even do anything with land.
I went on a little rant in their post about the new rewards; don't agree at all with most of their latest decisions, they all seem the exact opposite of the "New Player Experience" they keep talking about. So no, you're definitely not alone in the loss of interest in the game. Do hope they read these kind of posts and get their heads out of wherever they are now...
