SEGA SE AFASTA DOS BLOCKAIN GAMES

A Sega, empresa japonesa de jogos (Alguns dos jogos que dou destaque foi Sonic The hedgehog 1991 e Yakuza (2005), decidiu se afastar em relação aos jogos blockchain, essa decisão surge em um momento em que o mercado de criptomoedas está passando por certas dificuldades, conhecido como "inverno cripto".

Essa palavra é utilizada se referir a um período de baixa ou de queda no mercado de criptomoedas, pois acontece uma diminuição no interesse e no valor das cryptomoedas, como podemos observar na hive e em outras redes, os jogos e NFTS em geral estão tendo uma redução no número de transações e consequentemente procura, bem como uma queda nos preços nos ativos, devido menor participação/entrada de investidores.

A Sega teve dois jogos baseados em blockchain, sendo eles: "Revolve8" (2019) e o "Chain Chronicle 3" (2020). Porém, a empresa está agora mudando sua estratégia de negócios em relação as cryptos/nfts, isso provavelmente devido a ter dois principais fatores enfrentados:

Primeiro: que é a volatilidade das criptomoedas, se observarmos a volatilidade, junto com a queda em um momento de inverno crypto, afetou praticamente todos os jogos nfts que eu conheço.

Segundo provavelmente outro fator foi a questão de quantidade de players nos jogos, que pode ter sido afetada também pelo inverno e/ou por outros fatores, como marketing ou gráficos e jogabilidade.

A decisão da Sega de se afastar no momento, pode ser uma estratégia para minimizar riscos e concentrar-se em outras áreas mais lucrativas e estáveis e embora a empresa esteja se afastando da blockchain, nada impede de outras empresas aproveitarem o inverno crypto para se destacarem, pois as cryptos e as blockchains continuam evoluindo e criando mais funcionalidades e utilidades, todo mundo já ouviu alguém dizendo “ah mas cryptomoedas vão acabar”, mas o fato é que elas estão continuando e se transformando.

Continuo acreditando na hive e nas comunidades, bem como no splinterlands, e espero que o inverno acabe esse ano, trazendo muito mais força para um bull market avassalador.

I remain a believer in the hive and communities, as well as splinterlands, and I hope that winter ends this year, bringing much more strength to an overwhelming bull market.
