Lost Ark megaweekend ~ day two ~ THERE IS SO MUCH STUFF.

Today my great ship sailed to the continent of Vern and suddenly SO MUCH STUFF was thrust in my face. I'm now able to access Chaos Dungeons, raids, and there's an Endless Tower! And I can do quests for the Adventurer's Guild and start makin' some life-changing gold!
It's all happening!

While I was sailing towards the great continent of Vern, I also came across my first shipwreck and found a proper treasure map! Or "Sea Bounty."

Thanks to this most bounteous map, I sailed to a nearby so-called Lonesome Island and discovered how to start obtaining yet another collectable and the possible rewards for this collectable.

MORE COLLECTABLES! MORE STUFF! This makes me so happy.
But, back to discovering things on Vern!

After completing the initial introductory quests on Vern, I was guided towards a bunch of THINGS!! The first of which being the Chaos Dungeon.
Super excited to try it out for the first time, I decided to just enter by myself rather than try to find a group and prepared to lay waste to legions of demons.

The goal of this is to defeat waves upon waves of demons and if you have cleared enough before the time limit is reached a gate will open and you'll jump through to continue doing it again in the next area.
Overall, you need to clear 100% of the dungeon before the timer runs out and you'll get rewarded! Hell, you just get rewarded by killing all the things, so.

Excited by this Chaos Dungeon, I ended up doing 6 of them back-to-back. xD
In one of them, a shiny golden portal opened up and I jumped through and found what seems to be a Diablo-esque Treasure Goblin. When I killed it, it exploded in a pile of goods and there was much squealing with delight!

The gear that you find in the Chaos Dungeons is also the first lot of gear you can upgrade and "hone."
In order to upgrade your gear so that it's hone-able, you need to use the Harmony Shards that you find in the Chaos Dungeons, then hone it with Harmony Leapstones that you acquire from the raids. That made me wince a bit because I don't want to do raids just yet, BUT, I've been acquiring the things from quests and the adventurer's guild too, so woo!

After enjoying what the Chaos Dungeon had to offer (I can only do level one with my item level at the moment) I decided to go and see what this evil tower thing was that I was warned about.
Turns out it's an ENDLESS tower, and you need to complete each floor to earn rewards. You can only obtain those rewards if you leave the tower safely. And each floor has different threats.
On my first run through I stopped after completing floor 4 and won 4 packs of cards. Once again, my item level isn't quite favourable enough to continue further, but I can't wait to fly through this thing!

It's so exciting! Discovering all this, all of this content, all of this stuff to do! I'm in Grindy MMO Heaven right now. This is so fantastic!
Even better; all the quests I'm doing at the moment have gold rewards! When I started the game this morning, I only had 100 gold to my name thanks to all the stronghold stuff I've been doing. As of writing this, I have about 700. Now I can do more stronghold stuff!! Muahahaha!

This isn't going to be the actual layout of my stuff, but just a basic layout for the time being! I still have so many blueprints I need to learn. I'm going to have the most picturesque stronghold in all of Valtan!

After investigating these new things to do, I continued questing.
Vern is where it's at! In an earlier post about Lost Ark I wrote, I mentioned that I saw someone riding a dinosaur mount. Well, it's here in North Vern that I can acquire that mount. A mere 30% of the Adventurer's Tome for this region and I'll have my very own raptor to call my own!

A feat that I very, very quickly achieved! 😉
All in all, today has been a very fruitful day and I'm so pleased that there's even more stuff I can do! You truly are spoilt for choice in this game in regards to things to do, I love it.

And that concludes this mega-weekend!
Thanks for joining me on my adventures in Arkesia. I'm seriously enjoying this game. From what I'm gathering, I'm one of the few who is actually enjoying the story and progress I make. Did my first dungeon today where someone was demanding we skip the cutscenes, but pbbbtttttt, nope. 😝 I'm watching these the first time I do them, the second time I'll skip but not these ones.
Suckahhh.
Until next time!! 🎶😄✨🎵
Nice. I got to Vern yesterday as well. I pretty much rushed the two last continents to just get through them. The story is just all kinds of not good or interesting at all. It was a chore to do all those quests but when I got to Vern and unlocked all those endgame activities it was all worth it. I also immediately power passed a Sorceress to level 50 and left my Shadow Hunter behind. I tested the class a bit through level 20 and it was just so much more fun.
Noice!
My partner's planning on power-passing a sorceress also, and a paladin. Apparently we get 2 powerpasses but I've only gotten the one so far that came to me in my mail once I finished Vern. Unless the other was just unlocked the moment I hit 50 or something. Either way, my next character is going to be the sorceress too! 😁
All this endgame stuff is fantastic! So much to do, so little time!
Cool. The Sorceress is just amazing. Just MVPd in my second Guardian Raid. 😎
You get the first power pass for completing the main story quest that ends in Vern. Then you get the second when you use the first one. Remember from that point on you're not getting any more so additional classes will have to be leveled normally.
Oh, cool! I didn't realise there was an MVP thing in the game. Do you get extra rewards?
I tried solo'ing that first Guardian Raid xD it said that an ilvl of 302 was minimum, and since mine is 326 I thought to myself, "why not!?" but only managed to get it down to 36% by myself. Will hop in with a group and do it properly some other time. 😅
Looks like the MVP thing is just for flash. I should try and solo it one day. Shouldn't be to hard after a few attempts when you learn the attacks and telegraphs. It's a pretty slow moving boss and his attacks are quite obvious.
Should be fine to solo it with a DPS class and with knowledge, haha! I was able to dodge his attacks, but then he just vanished and I had no idea if I had defeated him or if he had moved to another area of the map... so I slowly ran around the entire outside circle, only to have him re-appear where I had initially fought him. That's when I discovered that Flares are indeed useful.
Second time I went in, I was prepared with Flares and when he disappeared I found him in the bottom ring this time so was able to get to him quicker, but my Bard's DPS just isn't enough. Which is fine, she's a support. xD
Looking forward to jumping in there with a group next time!
What is the best thing that you find it on Vern?
Everything. 🙂
Finally show the good aspects of the game, the pve for me is crazy, the obvious chaos dungeon is the easiest but once you pass the guardians from 4 and it gets difficult, the abyssal dungeons I do not know if you have entered but they are also a while, because already there all the bosses have mechanics that if not met by each of the team is an assured wipe. Good post.
"Good aspects" are all subjective. I actually like the levelling experience and the stronghold function, for example, while I know others don't. 🤷♀ Where I'm up to now is certainly better than the rest!! But the rest was good too, in my opinion.
I unlocked the abyssal dungeons last night, but can't enter yet due to low item level. Looking forward to giving them a go when I can!
One question, is this game similar to Runescape? Only with graphical improvements.
I never played Runescape so I can't really offer a comparison with that...
But it is an MMORPG like WoW, SWtOR, ESO, Tera, Aion, etc, and also an ARPG like Diablo, PoE, Grim Dawn. While it's both an MMO and an ARPG, it also has its own feel going on too. It's not just fighting and grinding for the best gear in the game. While that is a massive part of it like in any MMO and ARPG, it also has a whole casual player aspect to it too with collectables and treasure hunting.
If so, if it bears a slight resemblance 😃😅.
