Hello friends of Hive!
Greetings my people! A hug to all, today I bring you my participation for Splinterlands art contest 249, this time I chose the Magus card (Fan Art), where we have our character in the foreground and a background with a gloomy and fantasy forest with a blur effect highlighting Magus who we see with his magic staff and neon particles around him. Below I share the process of this illustration. I hope you like it.

¡Saludos mi gente! Un abrazo a todos, hoy les traigo mi participación para Splinterlands art contest 249, esta vez elegí la carta de Magus (Fan Art), Donde tenemos a nuestro personaje en primer plano y un fondo con un bosque sombrío y de fantasía con un efecto desenfocado resaltando a Magus a quien le vemos con su bastón mágico y partículas de neón a su alrededor. A continuación les comparto el proceso de esta ilustración Espero que les guste.
PROCESO / PROCESS
Paso 1 (Boceto y Line arte) / Step 1 (Sketch and Line art)
Lo primero que hice fue dibujar un boceto de Magus, luego delinee todo con la herramienta pluma y modifique el trazo con la herramienta anchura, para tener listo el line art. Para este trabajo estoy haciendo uso de adobe illustrator.
The first thing I did was draw a sketch of Magus, then I outlined everything with the pen tool and modified the stroke with the width tool, to have the line art ready. For this work I am using adobe illustrator.
Paso 2 (Color) / Step 2 (Colour)
Empecé por aplicar un color base a Magus en colores azul y gris claro para la piel, naranja para las setas que forman parte de su cuerpo y su cabeza y un poco de verde para las partes internas de estas protuberancias. También le di un verde esmeralda para el ojo.
I started by applying a base color to Magus in blue and light gray colors for the skin, orange for the mushrooms that are part of his body and head, and a bit of green for the internal parts of these bumps. I also gave her an emerald green for the eye.
Luego empecé a trabajar las sombras y las zonas de luces para crear más volumen, y para finalizar dibuje un fondo degradado sobre el cual dibuje varios árboles y aplique un desenfoque gaussiano luego dibuje varias partículas con suspendidas alrededor de Magus. Espero que les guste.
Then I started working on the shadows and the light areas to create more volume, and to finish I drew a gradient background on which I drew several trees and applied a Gaussian blur, then I drew several particles suspended around Magus. Hope you like.
