No business is perfect

In discussions like this, I love to really be practical. As a business owner, I have come to understand that no matter how much I try to ensure that there are no hitches in my business, there is still something that will leave a little loophole. Just like they say, "there is no perfect person out there, that's how you also say that there is no perfect business out there too". That is why you need to be ready for anything that comes at any time. In fact expect the worse. I know this may sound pessimistic but that's the truth about life. While we hope that things don't get sour, we should also think of what to do when things go sour.

One thing that I have noticed over years is that so many persons who owns business find it so hard to embrace feedbacks from clients especially when it doesn't dance in their tune. To be a business owner, you must learn to have a thick skin and embrace some criticisms. Generally, criticisms are there to help you evaluate yourself. I learnt that when you are criticized for something, do not get angry at what is being said to you. Filter the words and take out the ones that you need to help you be a better person. This is also how you need to react in your business if you want to strife in it.

Unfortunately, some business owners do not understand this and some even end up fighting their customers who gives them honest feedbacks. If you are a food vendor, you need to be very careful on how you make meals because catering for the stomach for me, is a sensitive business. Some may like the food spicy, others may not like it all. So you have to learn how to balance it. So if a customer tells you that your food is too spicy, instead of feeling bad or end cursing the customer, smile and thank the customer for an honest review. And then go back to your meals and adjust. Try not to make them too spicy next time.

When you begin to understand these little ideologies of how business works, you will find out that at the end of the day, you are doing well in your business. It is not every customer that will like your services. This is a valid point that you need to take home with from this article. So all you need to do is just do your best as much as you can. Embrace the feedbacks when they come whether good or bad and work on it without beating yourself so much. Remember that there is no perfect business anywhere in the world.

Always keep an open mind every single time you resume. Sometimes the reason why some people are stuck in a particular place in their businesses is because when these feedbacks come, they dwell on it. No! You shouldn't dwell on it for so long. That's why I encourage people to always #learn, #relearn and #unlearn. That you know a particular pattern of arranging your goods every time, doesn't mean that you cannot learn new ways of arranging your goods and doesn't also mean that when you rearrange them in the new way, your customers won't come to buy from you. Life itself is filled with different steps. So many things are coming up everyday thus, you should also change your pattern of doing things too in order to catch up too.
