It's very common for people to value those who work, to value effort, and to dignify the work of others. I often do this in my daily life, teaching people that work is a positive thing that makes the world a better place, and its greatest benefit is providing an independent life.

I'm on vacation, escaping my reality for a bit, and trying to relax as much as possible so I can return to my duties with full energy. When you imagine vacation, the furthest thing from that is work. I'm experiencing a great deal of controversy this morning.

Visiting my aunt's house in the countryside, I noticed that she's working as a handyman to save some money to spend on her construction project and on the bricklayer. Even though I hated the idea of ​​working, I couldn't imagine an elderly woman going through this kind of situation, so I took on the role of the bricklayer's assistant.

To anyone who's ever worked in this situation, CONGRATULATIONS! You're a hero, my friend. Imagine the hard work. I only worked this morning and I'm completely exhausted: my hands are calloused, my body is melting from the heat and sweat, I'm extremely tired, it feels like I ran a marathon, and I still have to work in the afternoon. It will be a blessing if I don't get sick by the end of the day.

I'll finish my day successfully, an effort for the benefit of others, but I hope I never have to do this kind of manual labor again. It's exhausting, and for those who aren't used to it, like me, it destroys the body.

É muito comum que as pessoas valorizem quem trabalha, valorizem o esforço e dignifiquem o trabalho dos outros. Costumo fazer isso no meu dia a dia, ensinando às pessoas que o trabalho é algo positivo que torna o mundo um lugar melhor e que seu maior benefício é proporcionar uma vida independente.

Estou de férias, fugindo um pouco da minha realidade e tentando relaxar o máximo possível para poder retornar às minhas tarefas com energia total. Quando você imagina férias, a coisa mais distante disso é o trabalho. Estou vivenciando uma grande controvérsia esta manhã.

Visitando a casa da minha tia no interior, notei que ela está trabalhando como faz-tudo para economizar dinheiro para gastar em sua obra e com o pedreiro. Embora eu odiasse a ideia de trabalhar, não conseguia imaginar uma senhora idosa passando por esse tipo de situação, então assumi o papel de ajudante de pedreiro.

Para todos que já trabalharam nessa situação, PARABÉNS! Você é um herói, meu amigo. Imagine o trabalho duro. Trabalhei só esta manhã e estou completamente exausto: minhas mãos estão calejadas, meu corpo está derretendo de calor e suor, estou extremamente cansado, parece que corri uma maratona e ainda tenho que trabalhar à tarde. Será uma bênção se eu não ficar doente até o fim do dia.

Terminarei meu dia com sucesso, um esforço em benefício dos outros, mas espero nunca mais ter que fazer esse tipo de trabalho manual. É exaustivo e, para quem não está acostumado, como eu, destrói o corpo.
