Nothing is expensive, it's just that you can't afford them

Before you tell how expensive an item is, have you thought of its value inside it? Talking about value, the price of a product change depending on its location. The price of a bottle water in the nearby shop in your house can never be same price with the one in a lounge.

This implies that you can never be valuable when you are in the wrong location; for instance, no matter how expensive a shoe maybe, if it's sold in food grocery, it will certainly be of no value. Same goes with our skills, you can't be a miner and wish to partner with a doctor for business - not that your skill, mining isn't lucrative, but your partnership caused it to lose its value.

Positioning yourself in the right place, with the right people, at the right time creates room for relevance. You'll definitely be sort for.

I want to share a brief story of what happened to me recently. A friend of mine asked if I could help create a video advert for his client; this friend is a graphic designer, I told him: "yes I can." In school, I'm studying Geoinformatics and Surveying; looking at it, a videographer has nothing to do with that course. To be honest, I never knew my videoing skills would be relevant and also be a means to generate money for me because my course of study in the university has nothing to do with that and niche was all-round surveying (nothing more, nothing less). My friend was amazed that I could create such a beautiful video, he promised to refer me to other clients who would be in need of such.

Whoa!

This testimony got me. It made me realize that I had a sleeping skill inside of me. All I have to do is to improve myself on it in preparation for what would be coming ahead.
What am I saying in essence? Your skills can be sleeping when the niche you see yourself have no need for it. It is best you position yourself well for opportunities, then you will begin to be valuable.

Please note, even though I may be studying Geoinformatics and Surveying, there's nothing wrong to learn other skills. It is known as "side hustle."

In conclusion, your skill is what makes you valuable; and when your value increases, you become more expensive.

Thank you for this, sometimes it is good to look beyond our careers.

Totally not a bad idea to explore.
We never examined most of the courses we studied in school, some only wanted the certificate since getting into university is also another fight.
You get a certified in one field to go work in another... Its a norm around here.
