Soulkeep Progress
It's new, it's fun and it's challenging. I am loving Soulkeep.
I've added a few cards to my collection and I've been very happy with some of them. I hope to add more in the near future. Here's what I'm sitting on so far.
In addition to all of the common towers and all of the rare towers, I picked up a Shattered Mirror and Voodoo Sapper.
So far my favorite towers to play with are Shattered Mirror, Twisted Tempest, Knife Tosser, Jack's Joke and Slime Lord in that order.
I have noticed that some of the splash type damage towers like Jack's Joke and Slime Lord just ignore flying fiends while they fly past.
Here's my spells.
Not pictured is a copy of Backslider.
So far my favorite spells to use are Cheapo, Venus Fiendtrap, Heartgiver, Buildmaster and Raining Cats in that order.
I just beat gateway level 4 for league 2. I found that I was able to get through all of the gateway levels in league 1 with their recommended towers and spells. In league 2 I've had more success using some of my favorites. I was hung up on level 2 and on level 4 for a few days each before I was able to get past them.
A brief note on Buildmaster. It allows a 30% discound on 2 upgrades and you can use them both on the same wave if you want to. I've had more success when I just add more towers until the last wave and that's where I find it beneficial to start upgrading towers.
Moving up leagues
I'm guessing that most of the people reading this post have already figured this out, but I'll spell it out for any of you that don't know. You have to collect fiend souls to advance between leagues. Beating the gateway levels in league 1 gets you most of the way there to make league 2, but you do have to play some tournaments to get the last few fiends. You're allowed to play 1 free tournament per day for whichever league you're in, so that should be the first thing on your to do list within the game. You'll have to pay if you want to play more than 1 tournament in a day. I would suggest saving those extra tournament days for tournaments where you seem to be scoring well.
