My First Splinterlands Battle.

Hello everyone in this community: I hope everybody is doing well.

A friend of mine has tried to persuade me to play splinterlands for a very long time. I didn’t try it cause I didn’t have time. This new year I have decided to try splinterlands and today I played my first game. Well, I won the first 3 games that I played as I wait on him to teach me more about the game.

I have also watched some YouTube videos to learn the name of the cards and what they are good for. I have already learn that I am good with the summoner obsidian and the cards which are magic. It’s unfortunate that I started at the end of the season. I started from wood tier. My friend told me it was not called wood tier some months ago.

I am going to write about my first ever battle on splinterlands. This battle had the Ruleset called the standard ruleset. It means that there is no change to standard gameplay rules or mechanics. I was given a game mana of 45.

After watching a bit of tutorials before starting to play I decided to choose the obsidian summoner. This summoner adds 1 magic to all magic cards.

The YouTube videos said I should pick melee cards as my first cards. It was difficult to understand which cards were melee until I decided to identify melee cards as cards which have chain saw like feature attacked to them.

They also said my last cards or I shouldn’t pick a range card as my first card. I picked magic cards as well as you can see in my line up.

After pressing on battle my melee card attacked his first card but it was also given damage which I later on found out it was thorns which the card I attacked was having. When he also attacked back I gave him thorns as well as my first card had it as well.

My magic cards then killed his thorns card. Round one ended and I still had all my cards intact. I killed one of his cards. In round 2 I killed 2 of his cards very fast as well.

In round 3 it was the same story as I continued killing his cards. I was very pleased until the last round of the battle which was round 4.

I won this battle even though I still need to learn more about the game. It’s an exciting game and it also excites me seeing the way my cards were attacking.
