Good luck. It's not too hard to get started, and I think you can get started without paying anything. You won't get any sellable rewards, but I think it's a good way to dip your toes in.

They made changes to Splinterlands so you can play as a free-to-play player, but you won't get any SPS gains without a spellbook. I think you can still earn Glint from fights. So you can still play around with the game without paying anything.
