Brawl Report #125 - Getting destroyed in Brawls again

Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I missed the result screen of the previous brawl so I need to pay a bit more attention. My battle results weren't the best though as I lost most of my actual battles and there weren't many free wins this time.

Brawl fights

I won 1 fight and lost the other 6. Below is an idea of the match and a few thoughts about it, but considering that I only had 4 fights, I think there may have been 1 free win but it's not a lot considering how bad I lost.

You can find the first match here. I won this match because my opponent didn't have enough attackers. The repair was enough to negate any damage that I would take after his tank died.

You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent just had the stronger lineup. The bloodlust was deadly once it started to stack and there wasn't much I could do at that point. The repair also lowered down my damage so I wasn't able to kill as fast.

You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup again. The combination of Lir and the ranged only ruleset was too deadly for me to overcome.

You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup again. I couldn't do much as I missed too many attacks and my opponent had more damage than me.

You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup again. I was relying on Katrelba Gobson but it died before it could do enough damage.

You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup again. The double bloodlust was a bit too big to overcome, but I think it was a fairly close match if my bloodlust monster was able to stack a few more bloodlust.

You can find the seventh match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup again. Yodin was too large to overcome and those snipe monsters were deadly when combined with Yodin.

Brawl Result

I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and I got 2 wins and 6 losses. It was a bad brawl as I lost so many fights and my guild also didn't rank that well either. My rewards for the brawl were 3,571 merits and 51.847 SPS in the 4-star category. I forgot to visit the guild and take a closer view of my rewards but I think we ranked in around 7th place. All I can say is that its brought when I don't get a bunch of free wins.

Conclusion

The brawl was quite bad this time around. I guess the strategy of submitting your matches always didn't work out in this case, but I think it helps more than it doesn't. I still think there was 1 free win so I can just blame the rest on bad luck. I hope my next brawl is better.
