Like Steven, our protagonist is someone shy and apparently with few friends, he works in a museum as a salesman and is a specialist in Egyptian culture. We are introduced to what is an ordinary day for him and at night after he does his protection ritual (lol) and manages to fall asleep, his other personality enters the scene.

This is someone totally different, a mercenary and fighter named Marc Spector of whom we are not going to be told much until the end of this episode. This is evidently the most aggressive personality of our protagonist, and here is one of the most interesting points of this series since the disease he suffers from is called "dissociative identity disorder". This, together with the dark tone that we mentioned before, shapes the style and sense of the whole plot.

A plot that is also enriched by the presence of some Egyptian gods, it is no coincidence that Steven was so learned in this matter. Specifically, we are talking about Konshu, the god of the moon, and Ammit, the implacable avenger or - as mythology says - the devourer. Thus, after Marvel integrated Asian culture with Shang-Chi, we can now say it does so with Egyptian culture in Moon Knight.

The way in which these gods are present on Earth is through avatars, Ammit's in Harrow, hence the ritual he performs at the beginning as well as the veneration he enjoys as leader of a sect. Konshu's is Steven-Marc, hahaha, although the latter is the most suitable for this mission, in later episodes we hope to clarify this point about this particular choice.

I loved this episode, it has very particular and novel things.
